Day by Day Overview

After arriving at the airport at either Kilimanjaro (JRO) or Arusha (ARK), your private safari driver/guide will pick you up at the airport and transfer you to your accommodation in Arusha for overnight awaiting for your safari drive on the following day.

The trip from Arusha to Tarangire National Park starts with an early morning drive of about 2 to 3 hours, covering roughly 120–150 kilometers through scenic countryside and Maasai villages. On arrival at Tarangire, guests enjoy a full-day game drive, spotting elephants, lions, giraffes, zebras, wildebeest, and a variety of birds, especially near the Tarangire River. In the late afternoon, travelers leave the park and drive to Karatu, where they spend the night at the Castle at Ngorongoro, a charming lodge offering comfortable accommodations and beautiful views of the surrounding highlands, providing a relaxing stop before continuing the safari to Ngorongoro Crater

After breakfast drive  to Ngorongoro Crater. This natural wonder, formed by a collapsed volcano over two million years ago, reveals a hidden world of open savannahs, acacia woodlands, lakes, and swamps. It’s one of Africa’s most unique ecosystems, renowned for its rich biodiversity and dense populations of large mammals. Descending into the Crater is an adventure itself, and on the floor, you’ll find herds of wildebeest, zebra, gazelle, and over 500 bird species. This is also one of the best places to spot the rare black rhino in its natural habitat. After a picnic lunch and an unforgettable game drive, we continue to Karatu for dinner and overnight at one of our luxury partner lodges.

This morning after breakfast drive to Serengeti National Park via Ngorongoro highland. The Serengeti is truly spectacular, famous for its vast open grasslands, which allows for excellent wildlife sightings. Its climate and vegetation have remained untouched for millions of years. While the Serengeti boasts abundant wildlife, it is best known for the annual Great Migration. Vast numbers of wildebeest, accompanied by large numbers of zebra and antelope, move annually across the land, constantly seeking fresh grazing. The precise timing of the migration is entirely dependent upon the rainfall patterns each year. After lunch and an extensive game drive, we head for our luxury partner lodge for dinner and overnight. You will spend 2 nights inside Serengeti National Park.

On an early morning game drive in the Serengeti National Park, guests enjoy the last chance to spot lions, cheetahs, elephants, giraffes, and other wildlife in the vast plains. After  breakfast transfer to the Serengeti airstrip for a scenic flight back to Arusha. The flight, usually lasting about 1 to 1.5 hours, offers aerial views of the Serengeti’s stunning landscapes and wildlife below. Upon arrival at Arusha Airport, guests can continue with onward flights for departures home, concluding an unforgettable northern Tanzania safari adventure.
