Guided

Budget, Mid Range
This short safari is best for those with limited time but would like to experience a wealth of wildlife and culture in the shortest time possible. Stop at the equator on your way to the park before experiencing the tranquility of the mighty Queen Elizabeth National Park where you expect to encounter much wildlife including elephants, buffalo, Uganda kob, waterbuck, bushbuck, hippo and numerous birds. Explore on game drives and on a boat trip along the Kazinga Channel.
From USD 855 per person
You will be picked up from Entebbe Airport by our driver/guide, who will brief you about your safari and then you will transfer to Queen Elizabeth National Park. On the way we will have a stopover at the Ugandan equator at Kayabwe, where you can do a water experiment, take photos and shop for a souvenir.
After lunch at Igongo Cultural Center in Mbarara, we continue to the southwest and head to the Western Rift Valley. We will enter Queen Elizabeth National Park with a mini game drive in search for wildlife that includes waterbucks, kobs, buffaloes, elephants, hippos, warthogs, lions and leopards among others.
Dinner and overnight at Buffalo Safari Lodge. For upgrade you can stay at Mweya Safari Lodge or Kyambura Gorge Lodge.
The day begins early as we go for our morning game drive, heading for Kasenyi plains, towards the kob mating grounds, in search for wildlife that may include bushbuck, waterbuck, elephants, buffaloes, lions, leopards and other wildlife in their natural habitat. The game drives normally take 2-3 hrs before returning for breakfast.
In the afternoon we take on a boat cruise along the Kazinga Channel, a natural link between Lake Edward and Lake George. The channel accommodates abundant wildlife, a myriad of birds that are sighted fishing in the channel and hundreds of hippos that are cooling off at the shores. This cruise will definitely be one of the highlights of your safari.
Dinner and overnight at Buffalo Safari Lodge. For upgrade you can stay at Mweya Safari Lodge, Kyambura Gorge Lodge.
After breakfast we will take a tour to Katwe Salt Lake, the biggest of the only 2 productive salt lakes in this park and western Uganda as a whole. Here salt is extracted locally by the local communities, for them to earn a living for their families. You will see the protective gear the workers have to wear while at work.
We later return to Entebbe, with a lunch stopover at Agip Motel Mbarara on the way and another stopover at the equator, for toilet break and souvenir shopping. From there, we drive straight to the airport for your flight home. This will be the end of our safari; thank you for supporting Wanderlust Africa Vacations.
