Mid Range
This short Murchison Falls safari takes you to the northwest of Uganda for an incredible wildlife experience in Murchison Falls National Park, Uganda's largest, oldest, and most popular national park. The park is popularly known for and was named after the breathtaking Murchison Falls, which is a major highlight of the safari. The best way to get a close-up view of the falls is to embark on a boat cruise, which will take you to the base of these majestic falls. The hike to the top of the falls is a whole adventure on its own and one of the most enjoyable safari experiences. A game drive around the savannah plains allows tourists to view the park’s game, such as lions, leopards, hyenas, elephants, various kinds of antelopes, endangered Rothschild’s giraffe and many more.
From USD 830 per person
Early in the morning, you will be picked up from your hotel/accommodation and head straight to Murchison Falls Park, with a lunch break in Masindi town. At 2:00 pm, we start the boat cruise that will take you to the base of the falls, where you get to see lots of animals, including hippos, Nile crocodiles, elephants, and a variety of beautiful bird species along the banks. If you are a keen birder, this might be your magnet to catch them. The cruise lasts between 1.5-3 hours. After this wonderful experience, you will then be transferred to check in at your hotel where you will overnight.
Your game drive will begin very early in the morning, usually 6 am. During the drive, you will have an opportunity to see big cats hunting, elephants, giraffes, buffalos, plus more as the checklist of mammals reaches 76. We continue browsing the drive circuits to the delta point for a cocktail of birds and mammals. The drive lasts between 3-5 hours. After the game drive, we will drive to the top of the magnificent Murchison Falls, one of the world’s strongest waterfalls. This is a very scenic view where you will take lots of pictures. After this experience, you will start your journey back to Kampala.
