After an early breakfast set off on your morning activities with your private guide. Timings and how the day unfold will depend on weather and your very knowledgeable guide will talk this through with you as it unfold. Ideally your day would comprise of a morning drive through the Mother City itself so that you can get your bearings, under the shadow of an iconic mountain. Without a doubt it is Table Mountain that makes Cape Town the unique city it is. Rising over 1000m above sea level, it is the icon that makes Cape Town instantly recognizable. Thereafter, enjoy a leisurely walk and lunch in Kirstenbosch Gardens or at preferred ocean side spot followed by sundowners at Chapmans Peak overlooking the magnificent Atlantic Ocean. For dinner this evening we recommend one of the famous restaurants within the V&A Waterfront – your guide will talk you through the options and make reservations. Alternatively, the in-house restaurant at Cape Grace is excellent.
Today enjoy a leisurely breakfast before you are collected by your guide for your full day Cape Peninsular Tour down to the very bottom of Africa, the Cape of Good Hope. Today there is no particular agenda, but we would recommend the Half Day “Foodie” Tour – a walking tour which explores Cape Town from all sides. It aims to climb under the skin of the city so that by the end of the day you understand the pulse of the city. You will explore it from all sides. the history, the people, their cultures, their cuisines, as well as contemporary Cape Town and its artisanal trends. Cape Town is a city that has been metamorphosing at a rapid rate over the last ten years – it feels like a butterfly that is emerging from a city that was once a rundown area that was purely a business district into a city where we now live and play. Today we walk the city flat, we explore and taste the city. Be sure to eat a very light breakfast and to wear comfortable shoes. Should you also wish to visit Robben Island and/or Camps Bay, this can be woven into the day.
