Your safari begins with an early morning pick-up from your hotel, residence, or Kilimanjaro International Airport. You will be warmly welcomed by your professional English-speaking driver-guide, who will provide a short briefing before departure. You will depart in a budget 4×4 safari vehicle, traveling through the scenic Maasai steppe, enjoying the beautiful landscapes and rural villages on the way. The drive takes you to Tarangire National Park, which is home to one of East Africa’s largest elephant populations.
Upon entering the park, you will begin your first game drive, exploring the rolling savannahs, acacia woodlands, and iconic baobab-dotted landscapes. Keep your eyes open for lions resting in the shade, zebras grazing, wildebeests moving in herds, giraffes browsing treetops, and a multitude of colorful bird species. You will enjoy a picnic lunch at a designated scenic spot within the crater, allowing time to relax while observing the surrounding wildlife. There will be plenty of opportunities for photography, wildlife observation, and birdwatching. A picnic lunch will be served within the park, allowing you to enjoy the sights and sounds of the surrounding wildlife before starting your journey back to Arusha.
In the late afternoon, you will be dropped off at your hotel, residence, or Kilimanjaro International Airport, concluding your 3-day budget camping safari with unforgettable memories of Tanzania’s wildlife and landscapes.
