On this private safari, you'll start off with Lake Manyara/Tarangire, before going on a 3-night camping safari in the Serengeti and Ngorongoro Crater. On the tour, you will be accompanied by a driver/guide and a safari chef. Enjoy game drives in a safari jeep with a pop-up roof for excellent game viewing. On your first day, we will pick you up from the airport and take you to your hotel. Later on, you will be briefed about the tour.
From USD 2,310 per person
We will pick you up from the airport and transfer you to Karibu Heritage House. A city sightseeing tour comes as part of the excursion for day 1. The city excursion will involve visiting the local markets, Maasai market, cultural heritage and Arusha city museum.
Soon after breakfast, you will start the journey to Tarangire, the home of elephants. You will definitely see many elephants throughout the park. It’s also a great park to spot wild cats such as lions, cheetahs and leopards as well as various herbivores as well. The game drive will take you close to animals and at midday, have lunch at the Tarangire River picnic site, where small monkeys might try to scare you off your meal!
After an early breakfast, you will start a sunrise game drive in Tarangire National Park, enjoying this beautiful park in the morning when it is less crowded and has more wildlife activity. Around late morning, you will exit the park and head to Mto wa Mbu where you will have lunch, relax and continue with a biking tour in Mto wa Mbu. You’ll be visiting waterfalls and banana and rice plantations before returning to Fig Tree Lodge for your overnight stay.
After breakfast, you will drive from Mto wa Mbu to Serengeti, which takes 6 hours (including all stops) as it transits through the Ngorongoro Conservation Area. Stop at Ngorongoro Crater for 20 minutes.
There’s an optional (price not included) visit to a Maasai village and explore the culture of the great Maasai tribe. They are known for chasing lions off their kill, hunting lions to be considered a warrior, and drinking raw animal blood. Though these traditions are thing of the past with exception of drinking blood, you can surely learn something. The duration: 20-45 minutes, entrance is USD10–20.
Arrive in Serengeti National Park late in the afternoon and do a game drive in Seronera (center of Serengeti) until late in the evening. Experience the sunset in Serengeti while having a close view of wild animals. If you’re lucky enough, see a predator hunting or on a kill. Later, head to Seronera Campsite.
On this day, you will go to the wider parts of the Serengeti south/east/west depending on wildlife movements. After an early breakfast, go on an early game drive. We will later have lunch and continue with the game drive till evening. Then return to the campsite for dinner and your overnight stay. Note: Animals can be spotted in the campsites.
After an early breakfast, you will go on an early game drive seeing a lot of animals until the afternoon when you will head to the camp for lunch and packing. Have a game drive while we exit the Serengeti heading to Simba Campsite (2 hours drive) near the rim of Ngorongoro Crater. Note: Animals can be spotted in the campsites.
After an early breakfast, you will descend the crater at 6:15 am, on a journey to find the black rhino. Rhinos are the hardest to spot in the beautiful crater as most animals will be easier to spot from this park due to it being a crater floor.
After lunch, have a game drive and ascend the crater to the camp and pack for the trip back to Arusha.
Be immersed in Tanzania’s great outdoors on this full-day tour to Materuni and Kikuletwa—ideal for adventure, cultural and active travellers in the region. Start off on a hike to Materuni Waterfalls and enjoy a refreshing dip. Next, head to a local farm to learn more about Tanzania’s coffee industry before finally unwinding in the Kikuletwa Hot Spring. After all that, you will be driven back to Arusha for your overnight stay.
After breakfast, you will be dropped off at the airport.
