JAMBIANI
Today you can just enjoy! Explore the magical island of Zanzibar or choose to spend your time on the beach. Of course you can also enjoy the many water sports that the island has to offer. Take a dip in the azure waters and dream away under the palms
Jambiani has a beautiful 7 km long beach with swaying palms. In contrary to some beaches in the north, this beach has powdery white sand and hardly any rocks or sea-urchins. The broad lagoon of swallow water is perfect for wading, snorkeling and diving and offers an excellent view of the marine. Thanks to its steady sideshore winds, Jambiani is also an ideal spot for wind- or kitesurfing. A high tide it’s nice to swim in the Indian Ocean and at low tide you can enjoy a nice beach walk.
JAMBIANI
You have one more day to enjoy the south Part of the Island.
JAMBIANI – MATEMWE
After breakfast you will be picked up for your trip to discover a whole different side of the Spice Island. Today you will set of for Matemwe.
MATEMWE
White sandy beaches, palm trees and the Indian Ocean as far as you can see, that’s Matemwe in north-eastern Zanzibar. The small village is loved by locals and travellers for its seemingly never-ending wide and romantic beach. If you are looking to reconnect with nature and relax far away from it all, Matemwe is your spot to be. Here you will find pristine fishing communities, hosting few tourists and you can truly see the magic that made this Island gain its reputation as a dream spot.
MATEMWE – NUNGWI
This large village at Zanzibar Island’s northernmost tip was once best known as a dhow-building centre. Today it’s the most popular travel destination, thanks in part to the beautiful beach and stunning sunsets. The result: a place where traditional and modern knock against each other with full force. Fishing boats still launch from the beach – a scene unchanged for centuries. But also on offer are more modern delights like a wide variety of restaurants and activities to join.
Spending time relaxing on the beach is of course always a great choice. But, if you are getting restless, there are many things to do around Nungwi. It is safe to walk around and Nungwi is quite an attractive village to explore. We have listed some tours for you that might be interesting – but you can easily explore Nungwi on your own.
A DAY UNDERWATER
Mnemba Atoll, located just a boat ride from Nungwi, is Zanzibar’s famous marine park. It offers a rich variety of aquatic life as well as often Dolphin Encounters. This makes it a great place to spend a day out snorkelling in these beautiful waters. Delight in the chance to see various species of fish, huge corals, and dolphins. Savour a snack on a picture-perfect sandbank and admire the natural scenery
After breakfast, you will hop in your private boat toward Mnemba Island. Depending on conditions, reach the coral reef of the Mnemba Atoll Marine Reserve is up to 20 minutes.
You will return to your hotel before lunch and can enjoy the remainder of the day as you choose.
TROUGH THE SPICE PLANTATIONS TO STONE TOWN
Today you will pack your bags and say goodbye to the beach! After a leisurely breakfast, you will be picked up at your hotel and you will start the drive to stone town.
On the way, you will visit one of the famous Zanzibari Spice Farms. You will enjoy a walking tour on a spice farm (shamba). You will be smelling and tasting spices, herbs and tropical fruits such as clove, lemongrass, nutmeg, cinnamon, turmeric, vanilla, coconuts, papaya, chilli, black pepper, jackfruit, cardamom, cassava and oranges.
The tour finishes with a stop at a spice stall selling fresh packaged spices (cash only). You will arrive in Stonetown before lunch and have all afternoon to discover this mysterious and beautiful town.
ALL GOOD THINGS COME TO AN END
Today is the last day of your adventure. You will be picked up from your resort and taken to Zanzibar Airport in time for your international departure flight.
If you would like to extend your beach holiday – just let us know and we would be happy to design a custom trip for you.
