An ideal safari for those who want to see primates as well as other wildlife. See chimpanzees in Kibale Forest National Park, track mountain gorillas in Bwindi Forest National Park and search for tree-climbing lions on the savannah of Queen Elizabeth National Park. Land-based, you will be travelling in a land cruiser safari vehicle or minibus for the budget traveller and can choose from mid-budget, mid-range or luxury accommodation. A great safari combining action and relaxation at the same time, this is a private safari requiring a minimum of two people.

Arrival in Uganda at Entebbe International Airport. Meet and greet and travel to Kampala, Speke Resort Munyonyo where our special relationship with the resort enables us to book you a budget, mid-range or luxury room according to your preference. Dinner and overnight.
Travel to Kibale Forest National Park arriving in the early evening. Tonight you take a nocturnal forest walk to see night animals such as bush babies. Dinner and overnight.

The chimpanzee habituation experience starts early at 5:30 am. With a packed lunch, meet up with the team leading the expedition. You enter the forest to catch the chimpanzees before they wake up. From here on, walking with the chimpanzees, following them as they feed, rest, groom, play, territory patrol, and sometimes see them hunt, is an amazing experience. Return later in the evening for a cold drink at the lodge before dinner. Dinner and overnight.

Morning Bigodi swamp walk to see lots of other primates and butterflies before we return to the lodge and then travel to Queen Elizabeth National Park in the early afternoon. Lunch will be in Fort Portal town. In the afternoon you take a boat safari on the Kazinga channel to see animals and plenty of birds. Return for dinner and overnight

Today you head to Bwindi Forest National Park, best known for its mountain gorillas. Travel via Ishasha where you can observe the unusual behavior exhibited by lions that climb huge fig trees as well as searching for other wildlife on the savannah. After the game drive, travel on to Bwindi, arriving in the evening for dinner and overnight.

Today is the first day of gorilla tracking. Set off early through the steep, densely forested hills. Tracking in the Bwindi Forest requires stamina and can often take most of the day, but the rewards are enormous when you come across the gorillas. Finally seeing them, camouflaged in the vegetation, is an awe-inspiring and privileged moment. You are able to spend an hour with them before heading back. Dinner and overnight.

Travel to Kampala and on to Entebbe airport in time for your flight. This needs to be booked to depart at 22:00.
