Mid Range
This is an eight-day safari in a custom safari vehicle with a pop-up roof accompanied by a guide/driver, visiting Tanzania's famous Northern circuit parks. Spend two nights in the Serengeti, the largest park, famous for the migration of over a million wildebeest each year. Discover the Ngorongoro Crater with its beautiful landscapes and surreal view of the crater where it is so easy to see the animals, while Tarangire is like a smaller Serengeti, famous for its great number of elephants.
From USD 2,695 per person
We will pick you up from the airport an transfer you to Tulia Spa & Boutique. A city sightseeing tour comes as part of the excursion on day one. The city excursion will involve visiting the local markets, a Maasai market, cultural heritage & the Arusha city museum.
We pick you up from your hotel at 7:30 am where the guide and chef will meet you. We will go on the 2-hour drive to Tarangire National Park, which is famous for its diverse landscape. The park is particularly known for the abundance of ancient baobab trees and having the largest concentration of elephants in the country. It provides unique chances to observe the interaction between elephant families. We will do a game drive through the park, depending on where there are reported sightings of animals (mostly predators like lions, cheetahs and leopards, as they are harder to spot). The herbivores like giraffes, wildebeests, zebras, etc. are plentiful and easy to spot in the park.
Later on, we will go to the Tarangire River picnic site and enjoy the beautiful view of the river and animals while having lunch. Small monkeys and baboons will try to scare you off your lunch, but you don’t have anything to worry about. After lunch, we will proceed with the game drive & exit the park around 4:30 pm.
After breakfast, you will drive from Karatu to Serengeti National Park. It takes 6 hours (includes all stops) as it transits through the Ngorongoro Conservation Area where we will stop for 20 minutes. There is an optional visit to a Maasai village where you can explore the culture of the great Maasai tribe. They are known for chasing lions off their kills, as well as hunting lions. To be considered a warrior, they had to drink animal blood, though this tradition is a thing of the past. This optional visit will take 20 to 45 minutes.
We arrive at Serengeti National Park in the late afternoon. After lunch, we go on a game drive in the Seronera area (Central Serengeti), then head west. We arrive at our accommodation where we can experience the Serengeti sunset.
After breakfast, we will go on a full-day game drive for your third day in the Serengeti. Today, we will explore areas further away, but with high chances of seeing animals. Later in the afternoon, we return to your accommodation at Serengeti Heritage Tented Lodge.
After an early breakfast, we will go on an early game drive and spot plenty of wildlife. In the afternoon, we will head to the camp for lunch. After packing, we do a game drive while we exit the Serengeti. We head to the Ngorongoro Rhino Lodge/Ngorongoro Wildlife Lodge (a 2-hour drive) on the rim of the Ngorongoro Crater.
After an early breakfast, we will descend the crater at 6:15 am on a journey to find the black rhino. Rhinos are the hardest to spot in the beautiful crater, as most animals will be easier to spot due to the floor crater. After lunch, we will do a game drive and ascend the crater, and pack for the trip back to Arusha.
