Day by Day Overview

Today you travel to Tarangire National Park, well known as the home of elephants as well as many antelopes and much more. The best time to visit the park is during the dry season when many animals gather close to the Tarangire River to drink.

Leave Tarangire to the small town of Mto wa Mbuu (Mosquito River). Here you will learn about the traditions and cultures of Tanzania, which has more than 18,000 people from 120 tribes. Continue to Lake Manyara National Park, home of tree-climbing lions, baboons, flamingos and much more.

One of Tanzania’s major attractions, well known around the world, is the remarkable Ngorongoro Crater. Caused by a volcano that exploded about three million years ago and collapsed on itself, it created what is today an expanse of about 240 square kilometres teeming with wildlife, beautiful rivers and forests. The crater is home to a rich wildlife including the Big 5, many gazelles and much more.

The wonders of Serengeti National Park include the great migration which takes place every year when over two million animals migrate from the Serengeti National Park to the greener pastures of the Maasai Mara National Reserve in Kenya, between July and October. July is the month when the wildebeest herds begin moving faster in search of water and greener grass, making their way across the Grumeti and Mara River. October is a good time to see the wildebeest herds move back into the Serengeti and warm weather can be expected.

Spend the day on game drives and bird watching in Serengeti National Park. If you’re visiting during the months of the migration, witness wildebeest and antelopes crossing the rivers avoiding the predatory crocodiles while carnivores are hunting  and raptors are soaring above, competing with scavengers.

Today you will driven back to Arusha airport for your flight.
