This treks takes you in the largest afro alpine habitat in the whole of Africa. Bale Mountains National Park covers the largest afro alpine habitat in the whole of Africa. It is an area of high altitude plateau that is fragmented by the numerous remarkable volcanic plugs and peaks, beautiful alpine lakes and mountain streams that run down in the deep rocky and gorges on their way to the lowlands. It is heaven for various endemic mammals including Ethiopian wolf, mountain nyala, Bale monkey and many other wildlife species.

Arrive at Bale Robe Domestic Airport and transfer to the headquarters of Bale Mountain National Park with packed lunch boxes. Enjoy an afternoon hike and drive in Bale Mountains National Park, known for its large herds of mountain nyala, diverse wildlife including Ethiopian wolf, Bale monkey and reed buck, natural forest and excellent opportunities for birdwatching.
After breakfast at the hotel depart for the Sennett plateau and Harana Forest with packed lunch boxes. This is a Conservation Area and UNESCO World Heritage Site. The scenery is breathtaking scenery with bamboo forest. It supports a high density of wildlife including common warthogs, giant forest hog, bush pig and Bale monkeys. Return to the camp for dinner.
Overnight: Harana Forest Camp
After breakfast at the community lodge, enjoy a full-day game drive in the Harana Forest part of the national park. Enjoy a hot lunch at the community lodge or packed lunch boxes. The area is famous for the annual great migration of bird species and is home to the Ethiopian Big Five: mountain nyala, Ethiopian wolf, Ethiopian bush buck, Bale monkey and giant mole rat. The landscapes are stunning and include vast plains and rocky outcrops. Return to the camp for dinner.
Accommodation: Harana Forest Camp
After breakfast, enjoy a morning game drive in Harana Forest enroute to Lake Hawassa and Abijata National Park with packed lunch boxes. Enjoy an afternoon boat trip at Lake Hawassa, observe the hippopotamus and aquatic birds. The area offers a variety of ecosystems including forests, wetlands, and grasslands and rich bird life. In the evening enjoy dinner at the hotel.

After breakfast, drive to the fish market to observe the local way of life. Enjoy your time with the local community, with lunch on the way and a stop for coffee. Later on drive to Addis Ababa for departure. Depending on clients we will take our guests to the cultural restaurant before transfer to airport.
