Ecuador is an adventure-land filled with hundreds of beautiful experiences. Among its attractions are the Andes mountains, high-altitude volcanoes, natural mangroves, Amazon rainforest and Galapagos Islands. People often overlook the hidden corners of Ecuador that are overshadowed by these magnificent attractions.
Some of these hidden treasures include Conchas Lake and Bellavista Cloud Forest Reserve. The cloud forest has an overwhelming number of exotic bird species and is also known for its spectacular butterflies and orchids. The forest is only a few kilometres away from Ecuador’s capital city, Quito.
Thanks to high flight availability, reaching Ecuador is pretty straightforward. However, not all countries have direct flights to Ecuador and it’s necessary to travel via connecting flights. Our travel guide will get you up to speed about such flights. We have also provided some basic details on the entry requirements for Ecuador.
Refer to the CDC’s guide to travelling to Ecuador during COVID.
The prices for flights are an estimate and may vary depending upon the season.
Direct flights aren’t available from the United Kingdom to Ecuador, but there are plenty of connecting flights to Quito and Guayaquil. Passengers can board a connecting flight from London Heathrow Airport to Quito via Houston, the United States on United Airlines, Lufthansa Airlines, and Austrian Airlines.
Similarly, they can board connecting flights to Guayaquil on Ryanair, Avianca, Iberia, British Airways, and LATAM airlines. The connecting flights usually fly through Madrid or Bogota. Direct flights to Quito’s Mariscal Sucre International Airport (Ecuador international airport) and Guayaquil’s José Joaquín de Olmedo International Airport are available with United, Delta, LATAM, and American Airlines.
