“Three days exploring the land of the mighty Rufiji River”
You leave Dar es, Salaam after breakfast with a picnic lunch packed safely away. The journey takes you through a panoramic tour of Tanzania’s rural landscape, as your guide heads for Nyerere National Park, and the least visited reserve on the itinerary but one capable of delivering fantastic game viewing – its home to Tanzania’s awe-inspiring wild dog sightings. Your accommodation Africa Safari Camp is a paradisiacal retreat, located close to the entrance of the Nyerere National Park and the Rufiji River is within walking distance.
Nyerere National Park (formerly Selous Game Reserve) is the world’s largest wildlife reserve and is Tanzania’s best-kept Big 5 secret. The Selous offers a wide range of habitats to explore from grassland savannah to floodplains, and miombo woodland and is home to a multitude of plains game, large elephant herds, lion prides and African wild dogs.
At Nyerere National Park, you have the unique opportunity of leaving your vehicle – perhaps to approach a placid elephant herd undetected or to simply discover what is around the next river bend on foot. In addition to game drives and guided nature walks, you can experience boat trips and picnics on one of the many scenic sand banks and excellent birding.
Your accommodation- Africa Safari Selous- is tucked safely close to the main entrance to the Selous Park, and the Rufiji River is within walking distance. Offers attentive, yet unpretentious personalized service, exquisite dining, swimming pool, fantastic tents and bungalow.
“Two days exploring wildlife at glance”
You leave Africa Safari Selous after breakfast with a picnic lunch packed safely away. The Uduzungwa Mountains drifts past as your guide heads for Mikumi National Park, the most commonly visited reserve on the itinerary but one capable of delivering fantastic game viewing. Arrive late afternoon and enjoy a game drive inside Mikumi Park where you will be able to see a wide variety of bird species, zebras, hippos, hartebeest, wildebeest, impala, warthog, eland antelope, giraffe, buffalo, and elephants.
Your accommodation, Mikumi Wildlife Camp, is located next to a waterhole, overlooking the vast plains of Mikumi National Park. The waterhole tends to get rather busy during the dry season; zebra’s, elephants, impala’s and buffaloes are regular visitors. Two days here exploring the park at your own pace enjoying morning and afternoon game drive tracing the great sighting of buffaloes and giraffe the park is known for.
“Three days exploring wondering nature”

The three days will be used to explore this undiscovered park by vehicle, foot, and optional balloon safari. Ruaha’s varied terrain is home to a wide variety of wildlife including large herds of buffalo, hippo, more unusual antelope species such as sable and lesser kudu and — if you are really lucky — wild dog, which roam huge distances each day in search of their next meal, making sightings impossible to predict.
Your accommodation –Ruah Hilltop Lodge – nestled on the slopes of the Ideremle Mountain, has breathtaking panoramic views overlooking vast savannah plains.
