This safari will expose you to Uganda’s forested parts in Bwindi Impenetrable Forest, the lakes and swamps of Lake Mburo National Park and savannah plains of Queen Elizabeth National Park. While in these three parks you will see various wildlife species such as mountain gorillas, forest elephants, buffaloes, monkeys, zebras, topis, Uganda kobs, giraffes and much more.

You will be picked from the Entebbe airport or hotel by your guide for the drive to Lake Mburo National Park, home to large numbers of antelopes, Buchells zebras, hippos, warthogs, buffaloes, and birds. You will have lunch along the way, later arriving at the park. Check in at the lodge and have an evening game drive before dinner and overnight.
Have breakfast then set out for a game drive when you will have a chance to see a big number of zebras, topis, Uganda kobs, giraffes, among others in Lake Mburo National Park. Later go back to the lodge for lunch and in the afternoon set out on a boat safari, when you will be able to see buffaloes, hippos, crocodiles, and birds such as saddle bill stork and Abyssinian ground hornbills. Afterwards go back to the lodge for dinner and overnight.
In the morning you will have breakfast and then drive to the south-western part of Uganda to Bwindi Impenetrable Forest. This journey will be incredible as you will be take in views such as banana and coffee plantations, long horned cattle and rolling hills along the way.
You will have a stop in Mbarara town for lunch after which you will embark on the road through the terraced Kigezi highlands, later arriving at Bwindi impenetrable National Park, which hosts a rich ecosystem of living organisms which you will be viewing the next day. Enjoy dinner and overnight.
Start your day with a tasty breakfast and make sure you carry a packed lunch from the lodge. Your guide will take you to the information centre for a briefing where you will meet with other trekkers before you start trekking at 8:00am. You enter the mighty Bwindi Forest led by the park rangers, who will take you to where the gorillas can be located at that time. This activity takes around 2 to 8 hours. No skill is needed to track gorillas but you do need to be fit enough to cope with the trek.
There is nothing more astonishing and thrilling than watching the silverbacks guard their bases, the females feed young ones, playing and grumbling at each other among other things, you will take enough photos to last a lifetime! Return to the lodge afterwards and in the evening if time is available you could also have a walk in the Batwa community to see how they live. Dinner and overnight.
After breakfast, you will transfer to Queen Elizabeth National Park, via Ishasha sector. In the southern section of this park, the lions are now and again spotted hanging on branches of huge fig trees whereas the Uganda kob (which are the major food to these lions) graze in the plains of the Ishasha sector.
After breakfast, go for game drive on different trails in the park including the Kasenyi trail where there is a great opportunity of seeing various animals like lions, water bucks, Uganda kobs, elephants, buffaloes, warthogs as well as various birds. After the drive, go back to your lodge for lunch.
Later in the afternoon, you will enjoy a boat cruise on Kazinga channel that connects Lake George and Lake Edward. While on the boat you will see hippos, crocodiles, buffaloes, elephants among others as well as a collection of birds such as the malachite kingfishers, pink backed pelicans and African fish eagle on the banks and in trees. Dinner and an overnight stay.
After breakfast, you will set off to Kampala, with a stopover for the equator experiment by standing your foot in the either side in the northern and southern hemisphere. Continue to the airport.
