Join this sharing safari adventure which starts off in Lake Manyara National Park, with its tree climbing lions, astonishing variety of birds and wallowing hippos, followed by Tarangire National Park where immense herds of elephants and migratory wildebeest, zebra, buffalo, impala, gazelle, hartebeest and eland crowd the shrinking lagoons of the Tarangire River. Then proceed to Serengeti National Park, home to the remarkable wildebeest migration, and Ngorongoro Crater, where the big five and some of Tanzania's last remaining rhinos live. You will come close to the Maasai culture as you pass by one of their bomas with time to see the huts and experience their culture.
From USD 1,500 per person
You’ll depart from Arusha after breakfast for the drive to Lake Manyara National Park. The journey takes approximately two hours, passing through the market town of Mto Wa Mbu along the way. This agricultural and fresh produce market is a melting pot of local cultures and a souvenir hunter’s paradise. After a brief stop at the village market, you’ll enter Lake Manyara National Park. This picturesque park offers some of the best game viewing – expect to see many of Africa’s well-known animals, with the tree-climbing lions a particular treat if you’re lucky enough to see them. These proud predators lounge in acacia trees, great for photographs. Bird watchers will find Lake Manyara an absolute delight, with a huge variety of birds on display in the park. Even the novice can expect to be amazed by large flamingo flocks, circling birds of prey, and the brightly coloured lilac breasted roller. You’ll then retire to your chosen accommodation for dinner and a good night’s rest.
After breakfast you will depart for Tarangire National Park, arriving at the gate around 10:00 hrs. After arriving at the park you will enjoy a game drive, look out for elephants, dik diks, leopards, zebras, giraffes, lions, ostriches and many more. At lunch time you will stop at a nice picnic site and enjoy an amazing lunch before proceeding onthe game drive. You will start departing from the national park at around four and proceed to Ngorongoro crater rim where you are expected to be at around 17:30 hrs where your overnight.
After breakfast you head towards the Serengeti National Park, via the beautiful Ngorongoro Conservation Area. Leaving the highlands behind, descend into the heart of wild Africa; the Serengeti National Park with its endless plains, rolling into the distance as far as the eye can see. You head to the central park area, known as the Seronera area, one of the richest wildlife habitats in the park, featuring the Seronera River, which provides a valuable water source to this area and therefore attracts wildlife well representative of most of the Serengeti’s species. Arrive in time for lunch and enjoy an afternoon game drive in the Serengeti National Park. Dinner and overnight at a camp.
After breakfast you will do a game drive in Serengeti National Park with a lunch box, following the animal migration in the northern Serengeti where the migration is likely to be (depending when you travel). You will be able to see wildebeest, zebra, topi, hartebeest, eland, antelope, hyena, varieties of birds as well as the beautiful landscape and nature. After having your lunch you will continue with game viewing in the Serengeti then leave the park with a game drive en route to Ngorongoro Crater. Dinner and overnight at a campsite at the rim of the crater.
After breakfast, descend into the crater with your lunch box to enjoy a game drive for more than six hours. The Ngorongoro Crater is one of the most densely crowded African wildlife areas in the world and is home to an estimated 30,000 animals including some of Tanzania’s last remaining black rhino. Supported by a year round water supply and fodder, the crater supports a vast variety of animals, which include herds of wildebeest, zebra, buffalo, eland, warthog, hippo and giant African elephants. This picturesque national park is also home to a huge population of predators, which include lions, hyenas, jackals, cheetahs and the ever-elusive leopard. After a picnic lunch you will continue on your game drive then in the late afternoon drive back to Arusha.
