Karibu sana – welcome – to The Vijiji Lodge and Safari. We’re a small, locally owned guest lodge just minutes from Arusha in the village of Nguruma, on the slopes of Mount Meru. From here we offer wildlife safaris, walking safaris cultural tours and activities.
Vijiji Center Lodge and Safari is nestled on two acres of beautifully landscaped gardens, complete with a swimming pool, spectacular flowers and colourful birds. Even the stars are brighter at night! Our 22 guest rooms are round banda rooms built in a traditional African-style by local craftsmen, decorated to reflect the many cultures of Tanzania, while our new apartments reflect a more modern Tanzanian style. And better yet, they’re reasonably priced. The same is true of our full-service restaurant featuring authentic African cuisine.
Our commitment to our community sets us apart and we specialize in cultural tourism. This means visitors can learn about our Meru way of life, while the proceeds from the tours go to support our local families. And when you stay with us, we’ll donate 5% of our profits to one of the social projects sponsored by our non-profit organization, The Vijiji Foundation. It’s just one more way you can feel good about your stay!
