Amazing trip - really bad experience safari agency/operator
Don't get me wrong, our experience as a whole was amazing because even in the worst cases Tanzania is an incredible country and place to visit. The people, the culture, the nature are just great and incomparable. We travelled as a family of 5 with our 3 kids (5 - 8 and 11 years old).
But as for our experience with Safari With Me… I would definitely not recommend you or your business for this trip. And I’m gonna be as honest as I can be…
The lack professionalism and organisation skills is incredible, and these are probably the most important things in the service you want to offer as a safary agency. Baraka is a nice person and his family is great too, but our trip went side ways so many times and each time Baraka just ran away from your responsibilities and tried to ignore them.
First, there is the financial aspect… we had plan the trip for months and just a couple days before the trip Baraka resquested 2800$ or it was not possible to do it as planned... Why? Still a mystery… his arguments about it just confirm what I wrote above (lack of professionalism, organisation…) or maybe your lack of honesty and trustworthy.
Then the stay at his dads hotel, not suitable for small kids and he should have known that. Dirty is not even close to what it was in reality... and the price for 5 people unbelievable (about 250$ a night ???). Due to health concerns we had to move to a house we rented for 40$ a night!
We also faced many issues during the trip which can happen of course. But the time it took to react and find a solution was just horrible. For exemple, we lost a day and half and ended up having just a couple hours in Ngorongoro instead of the whole day.
And then, there are all those things that were agreed on and planned that changed last minute for mysterious reasons, additionnal costs as well... Just so many situations to handle each day with Baraka that should not have happened if our trip had been planned by him properly.
I really didn't want to write this review but at one point the budget for this is so great that I had to share our experience that had been impacted by all these situations.
