The tour begins at Delhi, where the historic monuments and the hustle and bustle of the narrow lanes in Old Delhi provide the perfect introduction to Indian heritage and culture. The next few days will be spent tracking wildlife while travelling through the forested tracks of two major national parks, Kanha and Bandhavgarh. We will then move to explore the Mughal town of Agra and the beautiful Taj Mahal. The tour ends at another significant national park, Ranthambhore, where we will experience jeep rides to have a last glimpse of Bengal tiger. In between we will take overnight train journeys and experience one of the largest railway networks in the world.

Arrive at Delhi International Airport. Assistance on arrival then you’ll be transferred to the hotel. The rest of the day is free to relax at the hotel or to explore the surroundings on your own.

After breakfast start a sightseeing tour of Delh: visit Jama Masjid, the largest mosque of Old Delhi built by the Mughal Emperor Shah Jahan. Later take an exciting cycle rickshaw ride through the labyrinth lanes of the Old Delhi market. Head to New Delhi and drive past the colonial buildings such as Rashtrapati Bhawan, the official residence of President of India built by British architect Edwin Lutyens, Parliament House and India Gate, a war memorial dedicated to the soldiers who died in the First World War. After sightseeing transfer to the railway station for the overnight train to Jabalpur.

Arrive at Jabalpur railway station in the morning. Meet on arrival and drive to Kanha (3.5–4.5hrs drive) where you check in to your hotel. The rest of the time you are free to relax at the hotel.
Kanha, the largest national park in Madhya Pradesh, is home to various species of flora and fauna including Bengal tiger, leopard, dhol (wild dog), fox, jackal, various species of deer, four-horned antelope, gaur and much more. There are around 300 species of avian life such as black ibis, cattle egret, blossom-headed parakeet, crested serpent eagle, hornbills, Indian roller, lesser adjutant, little grebe, lesser whistling teal, paradise flycatcher, red-wattled lapwing, steppe eagle and many more.

Today proceed for two game drives in Kanha National Park by exclusive jeep, the first one in the early morning and the second one in the afternoon. Explore the various fauna and avian species that reside in the park, especially the Bengal tiger (NB safari at Kanha is closed on Wednesday afternoons).

Early morning go for another jeep safari in the park to explore the wildlife. Afternoon drive to Bandhavgarh (5–6hrs drive), on arrival check in to your hotel.
Bandhavgarh is one of the most popular national parks in India and has a large biodiversity. With Bengal tiger at the apex of the food chain, this park is also resided by leopard, wolf, gaur, various species of deer and much more. This park is also home to around 250 species of birdlife such as barbets, parakeets, hornbills, egrets, storks, long-billed vultures and eagles.

Head into Bandhavgarh National Park for two game drives by exclusive jeep, one in the early morning and one in the afternoon. Search for the park’s wildlife particularly the Bengal tiger (NB safari at Bandhavgarh is closed on Wednesday afternoons).

Early morning go for another jeep safari in the national park. In the afternoon transfer to Katni railway station for the overnight train to Agra.

You will arrive at Agra Cant railway station in the morning. Meet at railway station and transfer to your hotel. Afternoon visit to the Taj Mahal, the beautiful white marble monument built by Mughal Emperor Shah Jahan in memory of his beloved wife Mumtaz Mahal. Later visit Agra Fort, the red sandstone citadel built by 3rd Mughal Emperor Akbar which encompasses beautiful palaces, halls and gardens. Rest of the time is free to explore the local markets. (NB Taj Mahal is closed on Fridays).

After breakfast you will drive to Ranthambhore (5.5–6.5 hrs drive) en-route visiting Fatehpur Sikri, the capital of Mughal Emperor Akbar for few years, which reflects his ideals in art, religion and architecture. This magnificence only lasted 14 years, as in 1585 Akbar left Fatehpur Sikri due to lack of water, leaving this city much as we see it today. Arrive at Ranthambhore and check in to your hotel.
Ranthambhore National Park is one of the finest tiger reserves in the country and one of the best places to see these majestic predators in the wild. Set between the Aravalli and Vindhya hill ranges, the varied topography of the national park is home to a wide range of wildlife as well as Bengal tiger, including leopard, sloth bear, jackal, langur, macaque, nilgai and deer. The park is also home to around 270 species of bird life like graylag goose, woodpeckers, hornbills, parakeets, Asian palm swift, owl, nightjars, great crested grebe, eagles, egrets, flamingos, pelicans, storks, falcons and others.
