On this safaris visit Kenya’s premier parks and experience wildlife and wilderness. Maasai Mara National Reserve, within the Great Rift Valley, is regarded as the gem of Kenya’s life viewing areas. Wildlife is mostly concentrated in the reserve’s western escarpment while the annual wildebeest migration involves over 1.5 million animals between July and October. Lake Nakuru has a reputation as an ornithologist’s delight with over 400 species of bird found here. Amboseli National Park gets its name from a Maasai word meaning “salty dust” and the park is widely known for being the best place in the world to get close to free-ranging elephants. Tsavo National Park is divided into two, Tsavo East and Tsavo West National Parks, famous for lions as well as red elephants, rhinos, buffaloes, hippos, giraffes, elands, kudus and more.

Day by Day Overview
We will pick you up from the airport in Nairobi and transfer you to your overnight hotel in this bustling East African city. You spend your first night in Kenya’s capital city, Nairobi, before setting off on your safari the next day.
In the morning after breakfast, you depart from Nairobi and travel southwest to the famous Maasai Mara. Our journey to the Mara takes us through the scenic Great Rift Valley. Along the way, you will have a stop over to admire the breathtaking views of the Great Rift Valley, before climbing the western side of the Rift Valley. You then transverse the Loita Plains to the Maasai territory, where you pass Maasais in bright red robes, tending to their livestock along the road. You look out for game as you drive to our overnight lodge near Maasai Mara, arriving in time for lunch. After lunch, you venture into this beautiful Kenyan gem on an afternoon drive. You explore Maasai Mara trying to look for the abundant wildlife found here, including Africa’s Big Five – lion, elephant, buffalo, leopard and rhino. Return to our overnight camp for dinner.
Dinner and overnight at: Lodge near Maasai Mara
After breakfast, we will check out from the lodge, then have a morning game drive in search of any opportunity that we might have missed. We then leave Maasai Mara Reserve, drive north to Lake Nakuru National Park (with lunch en route). Afternoon game viewing at Lake Nakuru National Park, in search of its diverse wildlife and numerous birds. It’s a great place for ornithologists with species including the great white pelican, African spoonbill, yellow-billed stork, lesser and greater flamingo, and long-crested eagle. It’s also an important wildlife sanctuary for some of Africa’s endangered species, especially black rhinos and Rothschild giraffes, as well as lions, waterbucks, buffalos, leopards and baboons.

Early in the morning, you embark on a game drive in Lake Nakuru National Park, before breakfast. After breakfast at the lodge, you check out and head off to the great Amboseli National Park with hot lunch in Nairobi or Emali. You will arrive at Amboseli National Park and do a late evening game drive if time allows. Amboseli is crowned by Mount Kilimanjaro, Africa’s highest peak, and is one of Kenya’s famous and most visited park. The name “Amboseli” comes from a Maasai word meaning “salty dust”, and it is one of the best places in Africa to view large herds of elephants at a close proximity. Nature lovers can explore various habitats here ranging from the dried-up bed of Lake Amboseli, wetlands with sulphur springs, the savannah and woodlands. They can also visit the local Maasai community who live around the park and experience their authentic culture.

You will enjoy the early morning game drive in search of animals hunting. This is a lifetime experience for visitors to the park. We will have a full day in Amboseli National Park viewing Mt Kilimanjaro and its popular residents including elephants, hippos, lions, cheetahs, giraffes, zebras, buffalos, wildebeest, jackals, leopards and many others. Morning and evening game drives with a break for lunch at the lodge.

We will enjoy an early morning breakfast, then head to Tsavo West National Park with game viewing en-route to Ngulia Rhino Sanctuary. Enjoy a full day in Tsavo where game drives include a visit to Mzima springs where hippos and crocodiles, and some fish, may be seen in crystalline clear water as well as lots of different species of birds. Proceed with your game drive visiting the Shetani lava flow where you will be able to see Africa’s highest snowcapped Mount Kilimanjaro from a distance.
Dinner and overnight at: Camp in Tsavo West
Early morning breakfast, then proceed to Mombasa. You will utilize the seventh day of your safari enjoying the sunshine and the warm Indian Ocean at the Beach Resort near Mombasa, on the Kenyan Coast. Mombasa is the second biggest city in Kenya after Nairobi, with the largest port on the East African coast. Relax on the sandy beach, taking it easy after an exciting game viewing safari in Kenya’s finest wildlife premium areas. You can enjoy various activities such water sports in Mombasa (optional at extra cost), a chaotic melting pot of Indian, Arabic and African influences.
Overnight: Beach Resort near Mombasa
On the final day of our Kenya wildlife and beach safari, you are transferred back to Nairobi via inter-county train, arriving at Nairobi in the afternoon to catch your fight at JKIA.
There’s the option to catch a flight back to Nairobi arriving in time for onward flights – extra cost.
