Day by Day Overview
Arrive in Entebbe. After customs, meet your tour guide for the safari and transfer to the guesthouse for an overnight (15 mins transfer time).
Transfer to Kibale Forest – the home of over 13 primate species including the chimpanzees. You will see these wonderful apes during your visit. Along the way are signature vegetable/fruit markets and tea estates.
Start your day with a chimpanzee trekking deep in the forest. You are most likely going to hear their call before seeing them. In the afternoon transfer to Queen Elizabeth Park, a jumble of wonders with 72 extinct volcanic craters envelop the landscape here, their molten cores now filled with lakes, forests and savannah.
In the morning enjoy a game drive in the savannah plains. After a delicious lunch, head out to the Kazinga channel and enjoy a boat ride where you will tick off birds, mammals, reptiles and water birds off your wildlife list.
Sit back on a half-day road transfer to Bwindi Impenetrable Forest, surrounded by Virunga volcanoes that dominate the landscape.
Gorilla Trekking Day! The previous day’s long drive is drenched in a magical hour in the company of endangered mountain gorillas.
Transfer to Uganda’s smallest lake to break your journey with zebras, giraffes, impalas, elands and beautiful landscapes. Watch wildlife on foot, bicycle, horseback or by boat.
After breakfast, enjoy a game drive or an optional guided nature walk and then proceed to Entebbe having a stop to look at the Equator. The rest of the drive will take you to Entebbe International Airport for your flight to your next destination.
