Day by Day Overview

Upon your arrival at Kilimanjaro International Airport, you will be warmly greeted and transferred to Mount Meru Hotel in Arusha for your overnight stay. You will be accommodated on a bed and breakfast basis, with several dining options available at the hotel, allowing you to choose from a variety of restaurants for dinner.

After breakfast, your safari guide will pick you up from the hotel and drive you to Tarangire National Park, where your wildlife adventure begins! You’ll spend the night at Maramboi Tented Lodge, with breakfast, lunch, and dinner provided, along with daily drinking water for each guest.

Tarangire National Park spans nearly 3,000 square kilometers and is famous for its large herds of elephants and iconic baobab trees. The park’s name comes from the Tarangire River, which flows through it, providing vital water to the area. Tarangire is especially stunning during the dry season (June – November), when wildlife concentrations rival those of the Serengeti, as animals flock to the river for water. With its diverse habitats and the permanent water source from the Tarangire River, the park is home to over 2,000 elephants and more than 500 bird species, making it an incredible destination for wildlife enthusiasts.

This morning, after breakfast, you’ll be picked up from the lodge and driven to Tarangire National Park for an exciting walking safari, accompanied by an armed ranger. This unique experience will give you the chance to explore the park on foot and immerse yourself in the surrounding nature. In the afternoon, you’ll continue your adventure with a thrilling game drive, providing ample time to discover the park’s rich wildlife and landscapes. Later in the evening, you will drive to Lake Manyara Serena Lodge for your overnight stay. Breakfast, lunch, and dinner are provided, along with daily drinking water for each guest to keep you refreshed throughout your journey.

After breakfast, you’ll depart for Serengeti National Park, taking a picnic lunch box to enjoy along the way. Upon arrival, you’ll embark on an afternoon game drive, immersing yourself in the park’s vast landscapes and abundant wildlife. Later, you’ll make your way to Serengeti Serena Hotel for your overnight stay. Breakfast, lunch, and dinner are included, and daily drinking water will be provided for each guest.

Serengeti National Park is often referred to as the world’s last great wildlife refuge, home to an estimated three million large animals, many of which participate in the spectacular seasonal migration, one of nature’s most awe-inspiring phenomena. Covering an area of 14,763 square kilometers, the park’s name comes from the Maasai word ‘Siringet’, meaning endless plains, perfectly describing the vast, unbroken landscapes that stretch as far as the eye can see.

After breakfast, you’ll enjoy a full day of exploration in different parts of the Serengeti, discovering the park’s diverse wildlife and breathtaking landscapes. Your overnight stay will be at Serengeti Serena Hotel. Breakfast, lunch, and dinner are provided, along with daily drinking water for each guest.

The Central Serengeti is renowned for its superb game viewing year-round, thanks to its abundance of resident wildlife. In particular, the Seronera River Valley is a must-see, offering some of the best wildlife experiences on every safari, regardless of the season. Game viewing is especially rewarding during the dry season (June – November), when water is scarce in the plains, leading to a concentration of animals in the area. Resident herbivores such as impala, buffalo, hippo, warthog, topi, hartebeest, and giraffe can often be seen, while the resident carnivores, including lions and leopards, make for thrilling sightings.

Enjoy a morning in the Serengeti, taking in the sights and sounds of this wildlife haven. After a delicious lunch, you’ll embark on a scenic drive to the rim of Ngorongoro Crater, where your adventure continues. Your overnight stay will be at the Ngorongoro Serena Lodge, offering stunning views and a relaxing retreat. Breakfast, lunch, and dinner are included, along with daily drinking water for each guest.

The Central Serengeti is home to several resident lion prides, with some located just a one-hour game drive from Seronera. During the dry season, the lion prides shift their territories to the west and north, concentrating in the central region of the park, making it an excellent time for lion sightings. The Central Serengeti is also one of the best places in Africa to spot the elusive leopard. You may be fortunate enough to catch a glimpse of this majestic cat lounging in the branches of the iconic sausage trees along the banks of the Seronera River.

At 6:30 AM, you’ll enjoy breakfast before descending into the Ngorongoro for an exciting game drive. This is your opportunity to explore one of the world’s most incredible natural wonders. Later in the day, you’ll drive back to Arusha, where you’ll spend the night at Mount Meru Hotel. Breakfast and lunch are provided, along with daily drinking water for each guest.

Often referred to as the Eighth Natural Wonder of the World, the Ngorongoro Crater is the largest intact volcanic caldera in the world. Formed nearly 2 million years ago when the Ngorongoro volcano erupted and collapsed, its floor sank to create a natural enclosure surrounded by 600-meter-high walls. Here, you’ll encounter elephants, warthogs, flamingos, abundant birdlife, the rare black rhinoceros, and all the iconic predatory cats. The crater is also a place where the Maasai graze their cattle alongside herds of buffalo and wildebeest, offering a unique glimpse of traditional life amidst a stunning wildlife spectacle.

Today, you will be transferred to the airport for your return flight home. Breakfast will be provided before your departure.
