After the game drive, you’ll return to Moshi for an overnight stay, where you can relax and take in views of Mount Kilimanjaro as the sun sets.
Drive to Tarangire National Park, famous for its large elephant herds and iconic baobab trees. In the afternoon, embark on a thrilling game drive, where you might see lions, zebras, and a variety of bird species. Tarangire’s wide-open savannahs and diverse ecosystems make it a haven for wildlife photographers and nature lovers alike.
Today, journey to the heart of the Serengeti. Enter the Central Serengeti, known for its abundant wildlife and breathtaking scenery. After settling in, enjoy an afternoon game drive, where you’ll have the chance to witness the Serengeti’s iconic predators like cheetahs and lions. Your expert guide will help you spot elusive wildlife and explain the natural wonders of the area.
Drive north towards the Northern Serengeti, one of the best spots to witness the Great Migration, depending on the time of year. The dramatic landscapes of rocky outcrops and rolling plains are complemented by sightings of herds of wildebeest and zebras, migrating through this rugged terrain. After settling into your accommodation, embark on a game drive to discover the wildlife of this unique region.
Today’s full-day game drive in the Northern Serengeti offers you another chance to explore this pristine wilderness. Expect to see huge herds of wildebeest and zebras, as well as crocodiles waiting at the Mara River during the annual migration. This area also offers excellent chances to spot leopards, lions, and cheetahs in action.
After breakfast, retrace your steps south to the Central Serengeti for more exploration. Depending on the time of year, you may encounter varying wildlife and dramatic landscapes. Enjoy another game drive and take in the stunning views as the sun sets over the Serengeti plains.
Your next destination is the Ngorongoro Crater, one of the Seven Natural Wonders of Africa. Descend into the crater for an awe-inspiring game drive within this caldera, home to an incredible concentration of wildlife, including black rhinos, flamingos, and a variety of herbivores. The diversity of habitats within the crater offers excellent wildlife viewing in a truly surreal landscape.
On your final day, immerse yourself in a cultural experience with the Hadzabe tribe, one of the last remaining hunter-gatherer communities in the world. Engage with these fascinating people and learn about their traditional lifestyle, including hunting and gathering techniques. Afterward, transfer back to Arusha or the airport for your departure, concluding your unforgettable Tanzanian safari.
