This is the ultimate trip to some of Namibia’s best highlights: Sossusvlei, Skeleton Coast and Etosha National Park. Visit the Namib Desert; a sea of dunes, a great sand sea. The only true African desert south of the equator. Then you’ll fly high along the Skeleton Coast to Swakopmund and onwards to your lodge further up the Skeleton Coast before exploring Etosha National Park to end. This suggested itinerary can be changed and areas can be added to make it even better: Add the north west to visit traditional Himba tribes; And/or the rugged landscapes of the Damaraland area and the desert adapted wildlife. Even better, add the Caprivi Strip area whether around Popa Falls or the Kwando River. Many options available.

Wake up early for breakfast and then head to the entrance to Sossusvlei, the Sesriem Gate. Spend the whole day in the beautiful Sossusvlei area, exploring the highlights: Sossusvlei, Dead Vlei, Dune 45, Big Daddy, Elim Dune and the Sesriem Canyon.Return to the lodge for lunch or arrange a lunch pack to enjoy in the dunes and return late afternoon for a well-earned rest.

At Onguma The Fort, your day starts with a hearty breakfast, accompanied by stunning views of the Etosha Pan. Afterward, set out on a guided game drive, where you’ll have the opportunity to spot an array of wildlife, from lions and elephants to the elusive black rhino. Returning to the lodge, you can enjoy a leisurely lunch, followed by some downtime by the pool or in your luxurious suite, soaking in the tranquility of the African bush.
