Day by Day Overview

Pick up from the hotel or airport upon arrival and depart for the Masai Mara Game Reserve via the view point of the Great Rift Valley and Narok town for lunch. On arrival proceed for a game drive tracking various animal species and birds with your driver/guide.

Dinner and overnight at the camp

After breakfast proceed on a full day of game viewing within the reserve. The landscape here is scenic savannah grassland on rolling hills. The reserve is the best park for wildlife viewing in Kenya and you will be able see the wildebeest migration at certain times of the year. Enjoy taking amazing photographs then break for your picnic lunch at the hippo pool, looking out for hippos and crocodiles.

Dinner and overnight at the camp

Early morning pre-breakfast game drive. After breakfast, depart the Mara region for Nakur with lunch en route with scenic views of Mt. Longmont, Lake Naivasha and Lake Elementaita from afar on the main highway. You will arrive in Nakuru town in the evening.

Dinner and overnight at a budget hotel

After breakfast you will proceed on a game drive in Lake Nakuru National Park, known for its prolific birdlife including flamingos. The park contains a sanctuary for the conservation of the white rhino while species like Cape buffalo and waterbuck can be seen near the shoreline. After lunch drive to Naivasha where you can take a boat ride in this fresh water lake to see hippos and fish eagles (boat trip is an extra cost).

Dinner and overnight at a budget hotel

After breakfast visit Hell’s Gate National Park. You can hire bicycles to cycle around this park. There are over 100 species of birds here, including vultures, Verreaux’s eagles, augur buzzard and swifts. Buffalo, zebra, eland, hartebeest, Thomson’s gazelles and baboons are also common and it’s also home to klipspringer antelope and Chanler’s mountain reedbuck. After lunch drive back to Nairobi arriving in the afternoon when you’ll be dropped off at a Nairobi hotel.
