5-Day Lake Naivasha, Lake Nakuru & Mara Safari

After breakfast, you will make your way to the scenic Lake Nakuru National Park which is one of the most popular parks in Kenya. The park is known for hosting some beautiful, endangered species like the rare Rothschild’s giraffe, as well as the white and black rhino, often seen along the lakes’ shore. The park is also home to large flocks of pelicans and flamingos among a multitude of other birdlife. The park is also home to Africa’s big cats, all of which can be seen. The day ends with a hearty dinner at Ziwa Bush Lodge where you can reflect on the days excitement.

You’ll rise early in the morning today as you make your way to the famous Masai Mara National Reserve. It’s a must see on any visit to Kenya and is home to a way of life in the wild, for the animals, that is shrinking all around the world. Here the wildlife can live, relatively undisturbed, as they have for centuries. The Mara hosts the spectacular seasonal migration of millions of wildebeest and thousands of zebra, the biggest land migration on Earth. You’ll arrive in time for lunch and then head out for an afternoon game drive for the chance to see all the magnificent creatures on offer. Later you will head back to Enkorok Mara Camp for dinner.

Today you will have a flexible itinerary, where you can spend the day as you wish, with ample time to see all the animals you have come to discover. Enjoy a relaxed breakfast and depart for a full-day game drive with a picnic lunch. The game drive will give you a chance to visit the Mara River, the location of the migration. Alternatively, you can head out for an early morning game drive, then return to your accommodation for breakfast and relax for the remainder of the morning until midafternoon. Then depart on another game drive in the afternoon. Both options end with a delicious dinner back at Enkorok Mara Camp under the stars.

After breakfast, you will head back to Nairobi with an en-route game drive through the reserve for the chance to see the animals you have yet to find. Depending on the time of your flight, you can stop along the way at various sites, for the chance to sample some local cuisine. You will then be dropped off at the airport/hotel, marking the end of your trip.
