Experience the thrill of a mid-range 4 days safari to Tarangire, Serengeti and Ngorongoro safari, immersing yourself in the incredible world of wildlife across some of the planet’s most renowned safari destinations. At the heart of this adventure lies the awe-inspiring annual wildebeest migration in the Serengeti – a spectacle considered one of the greatest wildlife displays on Earth. It’s an experience you should unquestionably have the privilege of witnessing at least once in your lifetime. Our migration safaris provide you with the ultimate opportunity to explore this wildlife paradise and bear witness to the planet’s longest and largest overland migration – an achievement celebrated as one of the Seven Natural Wonders of Africa. For a truly immersive experience, we recommend dedicating a minimum of 4 days to fully savor the migration, with our carefully crafted itineraries also including visits to other national parks to enrich your adventure. The optimal time to embark on this migration safari is from November to August, with April and May standing out as particularly favorable months.

You will be picked up at your hotel in Moshi/Arusha and driven to Tarangine National Park via Arusha. The drive will be approximately 4-5 hours so sit back relax and get to know your Nafika Tours guide. Once arrived, you will spend 4-5 hours driving within the park, famous for having a large number of elephants and huge scattered baobab trees. Other mammals like giraffes, antelopes, lions and cheetahs can be seen here but it’s not a guarantee. Lunch is provided during the day, but a word of wisdom – although the local vervet monkeys may look cute they are mischievous especially when it comes to food, so hold on to your lunch tightly! At roughly 4:00 pm we will leave the park and drive to Haven Nature Safari Camp for your dinner and to spend your first night.
Kicking off day 2 of your safari is another early start as at roughly 7:00 am we will pack up and head to the Serengeti National Park. You will pass by a traditional Maasai Boma along the way and get to see the way of life of the Maasai people. You will enter the Serengeti at around noon and spend the rest of your afternoon exploring its world renowned endless plains in search of one of the greatest wildlife spectacles in the world, the great annual migration. After your game drive you will be taken to your tented camp/lodge where you will be spending the night.
Today you will spend the whole day exploring the amazing variety of mammals, birds and reptile species the park has to offer, not forgetting the breathtaking scenery and sunset. After your game drives in the park you will be transferred to your tented camp/lodge where you will be spending the night.
Another early morning start as you head to the Ngorongoro Crater – one of the new Seven Natural Wonders of Africa. Not only does the Ngorongoro Crater have some breathtaking scenery, it is also home to over 25,000 wild creatures; in particular you may be lucky to see the Big 5 here. Estimates suggest there are roughly 7,000 wildebeest, 4,000 zebras, 3,000 eland, 3,000 gazelles, 600 hyena, 200-300 elephants, over 60 lions, 30 rhinos, and many others in a small area, so have your camera charged and ready to go. The crater itself is about 610m deep and 260 square kilometres giving us enough opportunities to try and catch sights on those favorite animals. After lunch, we you will be taken back to Moshi/Arusha or dropped off at the airports, but not before stopping at some local shops to grab some souvenirs to take back home with you.
