Day by Day Overview
On arrival at Jomo Kenyatta International Airport, you will be met and assisted by our representative. Then depart for Lake Nakuru National Park arriving for lunch at your lodge. Enjoy afternoon game drive viewing in the park. The park is ideal for bird watching and is also Kenya’s first rhino sanctuary. Both black and white rhino are found here, often seen resting under acacias by the lake shore. There are huge herds of waterbuck, zebra, buffalo, the endangered Rothschild’s giraffe and more. This is one of your best chances of seeing leopard in Kenya, and there are several large prides of lion.
Dinner and overnight at Lake Nakuru Lodge (Full Board)
After breakfast depart for Masai Mara Game Reserve arriving in time for lunch. Enjoy afternoon game drive viewing in the reserve. One of the most popular tourism destinations in Kenya, the reserve is located in the Great Rift Valley in primarily open grassland. There have been some 95 species of mammals, amphibians and reptiles and over 400 birds species recorded on the reserve. The Mara is also home to the richest concentration of wildlife, including the “Big Five” (elephants, lions, leopards, rhinos, and buffalo), zebras, antelope, gnus, oribis, hyenas, giraffes, warthogs, gazelles, hartebeests, hippos, crocodiles and others. In addition, the park has the largest concentration of African lions, including the black-maned lion.
Dinner and overnight at Enkorok Mara Camp (Full Board)
Early morning and late afternoon game drives in this reserve, with spectacular scenery and diverse wildlife. Enjoy mid–morning and afternoon relaxing at the lodge or at the pool. The option of a full day game drive with picnic lunches can be arranged.
