Day by Day Overview
We will start driving from Dar es Salam around 7am with our packed lunch. It takes about six hours to drive to the park. On arrival, register at the gate then drive to our camp where we stay for three nights.
Head out today on a full day game drive, with packed lunch boxes in the vehicle giving us plenty of time to explore the park. Expect to see different varieties of wildlife such as lions, elephants, crocodiles, giraffe, antelopes, wildebeest, zebras, buffalos, hippos, birds, and with luck the African hunting dogs. In the middle of the day you will have your lunch in the special picnic site, later on in the evening, you will get back to the camp for dinner and overnight stay.
Set off early morning for a game drive with amazing sunrise then go back to the camp for breakfast. Later in the evening enjoy a 2-hour boat safari along Rufiji River, one of the largest rivers in Tanzania. Get close to the hippos, crocodiles and lots of water birds.
This morning enjoy a 2-hour bush walk around the park buffer zone with an armed game scout. You will have the best experience learning about plants, birds, insects from the bush man (guide). Afterwards go back to the camp for breakfast then we drive back to Dar es Salaam.
