Embark on a trip into the vast lands of Botswana’s Central Kalahari Game Reserve and experience Nxai Pan with its famous Baines Baobabs. Experience camping in the wilderness, explore nature in its raw form and witness game up-close on this exciting safari. The Central Kalahari Game Reserve covers a large section of central Botswana. Its harsh, sprawling terrain is dominated by grasslands, home to wildlife such as giraffes, cheetahs, hyenas and wild dogs. There are several fossilized river valleys, including Deception Valley and Passarge Valley, which offer basic campsites. Nxai Pan National Park is in north-eastern Botswana, consisting of Nxai Pan, which is one of the Makgadikgadi Pan salt flats.

Day by Day Overview
Wake up early morning and have breakfast and your guide will pick you up from your lodge and brief you about the trip. Then depart to Central Kalahari Game Reserve. Upon arrival, the staff will set up the camp, and then direct you to your camping tents. After a short while, you will have lunch and then go for a siesta. After siesta, you can have a tea and resume your afternoon game drive within the park. Drive back to the camp after your afternoon game drive, enjoy afresh shower and then dinner will be served. The time for bed will be determined by the last guest.

Upon arrival, the staff will set up the camp, and then direct you to your camping tents. After a short while, you will have lunch and then go for a siesta. After siesta, you can have a tea and resume your afternoon game drive within the park. Drive back to the camp after your afternoon game drive, enjoy afresh shower and then dinner will be served. Wake up early in the morning and have your breakfast we drive to the Baines Baobabs. The Baines Baobab trees derive their name from Thomas Baines (who was a member of the Livingstone Expedition); he painted a group of Baobab trees that became famously known as the ‘Baines Baobabs’. According to sources, he completed the painting between 1861 and 1862, and he was overwhelmed with the rare sighting of these fantastic baobab trees. We will have our packed lunch with us since we will spend most of the hours away. We later drive back to the campsite where we will find our meals prepared. In the mid day you leave Nxai To Maun where the safari will end.
