Day by Day Overview
Our professional driver will pick you from your Zanzibar hotel and transfer you to Zanzibar International Airport for your flight to Nyerere National Park (formerly Selous Game Reserve). After arrival you start the journey to the park with our professional driver and tour guide for a full day’s drive, In the afternoon you will enjoy a packed launch and time to rest. Continue with the game drive until sunset when you will head to Selous Safari Lodge for dinner and overnight.
Dinner and overnight: Selous Safari Lodge
In the morning you will have breakfast and time to relax. At 10.00 am you will do a village tour at Mloka village until lunchtime when you return to camp. At 4:00 pm you will go to the Rufiji River where you will enjoy a boat safari until sunset when you head back to the camp for dinner and overnight.
Dinner and overnight: Selous Safari Lodge
After breakfas, around 8.00 am, your driver will pick you up ready for a Maasai village visit, where you will learn about the Maasai culture for 2 to 3 hours. Afterwards return to the camp for lunch and a rest. You will picked up and transferred back to o Mtemere Airstrip for the flight back Zanzibar around 4.00 pm. After arriving back in Zanzibar our driver will collect you and drive you back to your hotel.
