Venture into the dune fields that cover the western reaches of the Namib Desert. Long, dusty roads and sparsely populated farmlands reveal the vastness of rural Namibia from the grasslands in the east to the red dunes in the west. Driving through the slowly changing landscapes allows you to see the many faces of this desert country. Arrive at your desert camp for the evening.

3 Star Resort | breakfast, lunch and dinners included

Rise early to witness the sunrise over the red dunes and experience this iconic moment, a highlight of any trip to Namibia. A brisk climb up Dune 45 offers the perfect vantage point to marvel at the changing colours in the desert sky. Once satisfied, descend this famous dune and enjoy a hearty breakfast before catching a 4×4 transfer into Sossusvlei. Spend time on foot visiting the pans at Sossusvlei and Deadvlei. Arrive at your next desert camp for dinner and empty the red sand from your shoes as you spend the night under the millions of stars above you.

Your final day in the desert begins as you join a local guide for an educational desert excursion. After stopping at the crossing of the Tropic of Capricorn, it is time to leave the Namib behind and continue to the Atlantic coastline town of Swakopmund. Adventure and a dose of civilisation awaits. A brief stop at the Walvis Bay lagoon in hopes of catching a glimpse of the flamingos feeding in the shallows.

3 Star Resort | breakfast, lunch and dinners included

After breakfast, a scenic flight over Swakopmund and the Namib allows you to experience the magnificent desert landscape from the air in a 5-seater Cessna 210 light aircraft. The flight allows you to cast your eyes on the forbidden coast or the many shipwrecks, depending on the route you choose.

3 Star Resort | breakfast, lunch and dinners included

An early morning departure to the massive Spitzkoppe granite formations which tower 700 meters above the desert floor. The San rock art indicates their significance to these ancient desert people. The Brandberg (burning) Mountains are the highest in Namibia and home to the famous ‘White Lady’, one of more than 45,000 rock paintings in the area.
