This 15-day Uganda Safari Tour is an exceptional adventure that will take you to the most visited national parks in Uganda including Kidepo Valley National Park, Murchison Falls National Park, Kibale National Park, Queen Elizabeth National Park, Bwindi Impenetrable National Park, Lake Mburo National Park. During the safari you will be able to view wildlife such elephants, buffaloes, lions, Jackson’s hartebeests, giraffes, zebras, elands, waterbucks, Uganda kobs, oribi and rhinos among others during the game drives and boat cruise. You’ll also spend time with the endangered mountain gorillas in Bwindi Impenetrable National Park and the chimpanzees in Kibale Forest National Park.

Day by Day Overview
Depending on your arrival time at Entebbe International Airport, you will be welcomed by our driver guide who will brief you about the safari and then transfer to the hotel in Kampala where you will relax, have dinner and overnight.
After breakfast on day 2 of the 15 days safari, our driver guide will pick you up from the hotel and start the journey to Kidepo Valley National Park which is in Northern Uganda. It’s a full day journey but to break the trip up you will have a stopover in Gulu town via Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary for rhino tracking. Afterwards continue the journey, with lunch enroute, enjoying beautiful views of the landscape, homesteads, and local people. Upon arrival in Gulu town you will check into the hotel/lodge for dinner and overnight.
After breakfast your driver guide will pick you from the hotel/lodge and proceed with the journey to Kidepo Valley National Park. The journey takes about 3 to 4 hours of drive and on your way you will enjoy great views of the landscape, hills, Karamajong manyatas, and seasonal rivers, among others. Upon arrival you will check into the lodge and have lunch. Later on enjoy an evening game drive where you have an opportunity to take beautiful pictures of the sunset and look out for wildlife such as giraffes, buffaloes, zebras, lions, elephants, leopards, waterbucks, Jackson’s hartebeests and more. After the game drive you will drive back to the lodge for dinner and overnight.
After an early breakfast on day 4, your driver guide will pick you up from the lodge to go for a morning game drive where you will be able to spot different species like lions, zebras, waterbucks, elephants, reedbucks, impalas, elands, Uganda kobs among others. After the game drive you will return to the lodge to relax and have lunch and later go for an evening game drive where you will be able to view other wildlife. After you will head back to the lodge for dinner and overnight.
In the morning you will have an early breakfast and your driver guide will pick up for a morning game drive in the Narus valley, a permanent water body in the Kidepo Valley National Park that attracts large concentrations of wildlife species. During the game drive you may see a variety of animals – lions, cheetahs, buffaloes, bush duikers, jackal, bushbucks, elephants, giraffes and waterbucks as well as bird species like ostriches, kori bustard, yellow barbet, dark chanting goshawk, purple heron, yellow billed shrike, little green bee-eater, Karamoja Apalis among others. After the game drive you will head back to the lodge for lunch.
After lunch you will go back for a cultural tour where you will be able to visit the Karamajong people that live near Kidepo Valley National Park. During the cultural tour you will interact with the local people in the community which gives you an opportunity to know more about their lifestyle and culture – where they can marry many wives depending on the number of cattle they own – learn about their way of living, visit their homesteads which are known as the manyatas, enjoy traditional performances in form of dances and songs, and listen to ancient stories among others. After the cultural tour you will head back to the lodge for dinner and overnight.
After breakfast, you will meet your driver guide and embark on your journey to Murchison Falls National Park. On your way, with lunch en-route, enjoy spectacular views of local people, homesteads, farmlands, Rwenzori mountains and tea plantations, with stopovers to take photos and stretch your legs. Upon arrival you will directly go to the top of the Falls where you will enjoy stunning views of the waterfall, beautiful scenery, water splashes, rainbows, and listen to the roars of the waterfall. Afterwards you will drive to check into the lodge for dinner and overnight.
Early in the morning you have breakfast then your driver guide will pick you up to go for a morning delta drive Look out for animals such as warthogs, buffaloes, giraffes, Uganda kobs, zebras, Patas monkeys, baboons and elephants grazing in the open savannah plains. You might also see predators like lions, hyenas and leopards, before they go back to their hiding areas out of the sun. After the game drive you will head back to the lodge for lunch.
After lunch you will drive to Parra jetty landing site for an exciting boat cruise to the bottom of Muchison Falls. During the boat ride which takes about 2 hours you will have spectacular views of the beautiful scenery, hippos, and Nile crocodiles in the water as well as elephants, buffaloes, warthogs and antelopes along the shores. Also look out for water birds like kingfishers, bee-eaters, cormorants, and fish eagles, among others. After the boat cruise you will meet up with your driver guide and return to the lodge for dinner and overnight.
After breakfast on day 8 of 15 days safari, you will check out of the lodge and your driver guide will start the journey to Kibale National Park in Western Uganda. It’s a whole day journey with lunch on the way and stunning views of the traditional homesteads, local people, beautiful scenery, views of Rwenzori Mountains, crater lakes, and tea plantations. Upon arrival in the park you will check into the lodge for dinner and overnight.
After an early morning breakfast, your driver guide will transfer you to the park headquarters for chimpanzee trekking briefing. Afterwards you will be grouped into 6 people allocated to a chimpanzee family to trek and a park guide who will lead you into the forest. Chimpanzee trekking is an interesting activity that starts at 8:00am and takes from around 30 minutes to 4 hours depending on where the chimpanzees are located, because they like to move from one place to another in search for food especially during the dry season.
During trekking you will be able to see other primates like red tailed monkeys, black and white colobus monkeys, grey cheeked mangabey, and vervet monkeys, and view bird species, mammals, and plant species. Once the chimpanzees are found you will be able to spend one hour with them in their natural habitat which gives you an opportunity to learn about their behaviours, habits, watch them feed, play, fight, hunt, mate, while you take photos and record the moments. After the one hour with the chimpanzees you will trek back to the park headquarters where you will meet your driver guide and transfer to the lodge for lunch.
After lunch, you will check out of the lodge and meet up with your driver guide to transfer to Queen Elizabeth National Park. 0n the way you will enjoy breathtaking views of the crater lakes and tea plantations. Upon arrival you will check into the lodge for dinner and overnight.
After an early morning breakfast, your driver guide will pick you up from the lodge to go for a morning drive or lion tracking experience through Kasenyi plains. During the game drive you will be graced with great views of animals like buffaloes, Uganda kobs, waterbucks, giant forest hogs, elephants, bushbucks, lions, leopards, hyenas as well as many bird species. After the fascinating game drive return to the lodge for lunch.
After lunch you will go for an exciting boat cruise which is carried out on the Kazinga channel, a 40km long channel that connects Lake Edward and Lake George. The boat ride starts at around 2:00pm and rewards you with breathtaking views of the large concentrations of hippos and crocodiles in the water, views of elephants, buffaloes, warthogs, antelopes along the shores, and water birds like kingfishers, fish eagles, hornbills, cormorants, and bee-eaters. After the boat ride, which takes about 2 hours, you will drive back to the lodge for an evening relaxation, dinner and overnight.
After breakfast on day 11 of the 15 days safari, you will check out of the lodge and meet up with your driver guide to transfer to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park via Ishasha sector where you may be able to view the tree climbing lions lazily laying up in the tree branches during the game drive. After the game drive, you will have lunch and then continue to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park. Upon arrival you will check into the lodge for dinner and overnight.
After an early breakfast on day 12, you will carry a packed lunch and meet up with your driver guide to transfer to the park headquarters for a briefing about the rules, regulations and expectations of gorilla trekking. After the briefing you will start trekking in the jungle with an experienced park guide who is well conversant with gorilla trekking trails. Gorilla trekking in Bwindi Impenetrable National Park takes anywhere from 30 minutes to 7 hours depending on where the gorillas are located because they like to move from one to another in such for food.
During trekking you will be able to view other primate species like chimpanzees, I’hoest monkeys, baboons, bird species, mammals and different plant and tree species. Once the gorilla family is located you will be able to spend one hour with them – an opportunity to watch them carry out their daily activities and learn about their behaviors and habits as you take photos, and record the breathtaking moments to show people back at home. After one-hour experience, you will trek back to the park headquarters where you will meet your driver guide and return back to the lodge for an evening relaxation, dinner and overnight.
After breakfast on day 13 of the safari, you will checkout of the lodge and meet up with your driver guide to transfer to Lake Bunyonyi in Kabale, which is the deepest lake in Uganda. Upon arrival you will check into the lodge for lunch where after you will go for an amazing boat cruise for an opportunity to explore the 29 islands and view the stunning scenery, landscape and farmlands. After the boat ride, you will return to the lodge for an evening relaxation, dinner and overnight.
After breakfast, you check out of the lodge and your driver guide will transfer to Lake Mburo National Park. Upon arrival, you will check into the lodge for lunch. After lunch, you will go for an afternoon boat ride where you will be able view animals like hippos and Nile crocodiles in water in the water and buffaloes, waterbucks, warthogs, impalas and others along the shores. After the boat cruise, you will return back to the lodge for dinner and overnight.
After an early breakfast on the last day of your 15 days safari, you will check out of the lodge and meet with your driver guide to for a morning game drive. Look out for giraffes, buffaloes, lions, zebras, oribi, impalas, elands, topi, warthogs among others. After the game drive, you will drive out of the park and start the journey back to Kampala with enroute lunch on the way. You will also have a stopover at the equator in Kayabwe where you will take photos and buy souvenirs. Proceed to Kampala and on arrival, your driver guide will drop you off at Entebbe International airport for your departure flight or drop off at any other drop off point.
