Day by Day Overview
Arrive at Windhoek Airport where you’ll be met by your guide and will depart for Etosha. You’ll stop for an overnight stay at Frans Indongo Lodge. Step into the calmness and silence of the Namibian savannah, surrounded by the scents of grass and acacias. Situated approximately 43 km from Otjiwarongo, Frans Indongo Lodge is the ideal stop when travelling between Windhoek and Etosha National Park. The lodge offers 14 rooms and chalets, with a stylish African interior design inspired by the Namibian Ovambo culture. Each room and chalet is fitted with its own bathroom, air conditioning and fridge.
Today savour the Kalahari Desert at this easily accessible lodge. 30 standard rooms flank a shady courtyard, with another 21 comfort overlooking Kalahari savannah. Stretch your legs on the walks and join the afternoon drive to experience the red Kalahari sands aglow with an inner fire. These drives are the perfect way to getting acquainted with the Kalahari Desert. The approx. 3 hour morning or sunset drive with panoramic views across the Kalahari dunes is something to remember forever.
Breakfast and drive to Sossuvlei area. We invite you to experience the beauty and tranquility of Hoodia Desert Lodge, surrounded by majestic mountains on the banks of the Tsauchab River. Only a 20-minute drive will bring you to the Sesriem Gate, the entrance of the world-famous red sand-dunes of Sossusvlei.
After breakfast you will transfer to Swakopmund, a town with captivating contrasts and old traditions. Stay at Gondwana’s Delight, a fresh breeze in the desert. A refreshing, relaxing, modern, light and airy establishment to uplift and inspire. Effortless and comfortable, with the distinctively warm and welcoming Gondwana service and charm, your stay will be a memorable experience.
After breakfast proceed back to Windhoek. Voigtland Guesthouse offers a blend of old-world charm and a unique modern style. Trees, lawns and gardens surround this 20th-century accommodation. Guests may enjoy activities such as game drives, giraffe feeding, hiking, mountain biking and birding watching. Rooms feature an elegant style and feature modern amenities. Breakfast then take a flight from Windhoek to Victoria Falls, Zimbabwe. The Victoria Falls Hotel, popularly known as “the grand old lady of the Falls”, is situated in the Victoria Falls National Park, and is a member of the exclusive Leading Hotels of the World. It is one of only three Is0-accredited hotels in Zimbabwe. The Edwardian-style five-star hotel combines the charm of the old with the convenience of the new. Set in lush tropical gardens with lily ponds, palm trees and semi-tropical shrubs, it provides the tranquility and seclusion that many guests seek. The famous Victoria Falls are just a ten-minute walk away and “the smoke that thunders” or “Mosi-O-Tunya” in the local dialect, is clearly audible from this luxurious landmark.
Breakfast then take a charter flight to Kasane, Botswana, near the Chobe River. No Chobe safari is complete without experiencing the beauty of the Chobe River and its incredible wildlife by boat. The riverboats are specifically designed to ensure each passenger can take in the magnificent Chobe views in complete comfort from anywhere on the boat. Owing to the flexibility in seating arrangements and the flat deck, the boats are ideal for keen wildlife photographers, with ample space for equipment and the freedom to photograph from any angle.
Activities are centered around game drives throughout the Savute area in open 4×4 safari vehicles. Many trips will incorporate a visit to the famous Savute Marsh for your chance to see the historic presence of the Savute Channel at the marsh against a teeming backdrop of wildlife. Guests will also enjoy a visit to the ancient San rock paintings at Gubatsa Hills, a small hilly outcrop which forms a remarkable landmark in the otherwise flat landscape.
After breakfast, you will transfer to Kasane Airport for your charter flight to Moremi. Upon arrival, you will be met and transferred to Camp Moremi/Kwhai Expeditions Camp, where you will spend the next two nights. The afternoon is yours to spend at leisure, either relaxing next to the pool at the lodge, or to enjoy on an afternoon game drive in the concession.
Breakfast and our safari ends here. You will be transferred to Maun Airport by charter plane in time for your onward departure flight.
