Day by Day Overview
Today you will be picked up from the airport or from your hotel and you will be given pre-departure briefing before you start your safaris. We drive through the view point of the Great Rift Valley escarpment to the Narok county the land of Maa people. Maasai Mara national reserve is actually part of the vast Serengeti plains famously known for its spectacular great wildebeest’s migration and is home of the Big Five: Lion, Elephant, Leopard, Buffalo and Rhino. Arrive for lunch at the Lodge/camp and relax before departing for the afternoon game drive. Masai Mara National Reserve sits within the Mara Eco system that includes Mara triangle, and other conservancies like Ol Chorro Oirowua, Ol Derkesi, Lemek, Maji Moto, Siana, Olkinyei, Naikara, Koiyaki, and North Mara. Masai Mara National Reserve is as well is part of the Greater Eco-System that extends to Serengeti National Park in the northern part of Tanzania.

On the second day, you will wake up and have your morning breakfast. Today, you will enjoy a full-day game drive in the reserve, with your picnic lunch. Maasai Mara National Reserve is an area of preserved savannah wilderness in southwestern Kenya, along the Tanzanian border. The Mara Triangle bordering the Mara River has lush grassland and acacia woodlands – always good for game drives. The Mara is perhaps best known for the Great Migration, which takes place annually. During these months the yellow savannah is dotted black by more than 1.5 million wildebeest, zebra and antelopes that migrate from the Serengeti to the Mara in search of food and water.

After a soundful sleep you will wake up for a morning breakfast then depart to Lake Nakuru National Park, one of the best national parks in Kenya given that it has one of the Rift Valley soda Lakes. On arrival will be welcomed and be shown to your room. After lunch take a game drive in Lake Nakuru Park, which is well known as bird lover’s hub because of the numerous birds that make home in this park, over 400 bird species including the flamingos that live on the lake and in the park’s savannah grasslands. The bird species include but not limited to African fish eagle, slender-billed greenbul, long-tailed widowbird, rufous-throated wryneck, montane white-eye, red-capped lark, northern puffback, Rüppell’s robin-chat, shining sunbird and many more.

You will wake up for a morning breakfast then depart to Lake Elementaita National Park. On arrival you will have a welcome drink and be shown to your room. After lunch take a late afternoon guided leisure walk along the bird rich lake. Lake Elmenteita is a soda lake, in the Great Rift Valley, about 120 km northwest of Nairobi, Kenya. The Salt Lake is known for its rich avifauna, among other huge concentrations of greater and lesser flamingos. End up at the hot-spring for a relaxing dip. Return to the lodge for dinner and campfire thereafter.

We will depart to Amboseli via Nairobi in the morning after breakfast. Drive south through Maasai county to the plains below Mt. Kilimanjaro where Amboseli is situated. A scenic park in its own right, Amboseli is synonymous with two particular things: majestic herds of elephant and glorious views of Mount Kilimanjaro in neighboring Tanzania. After a picnic lunch en-route with the majestic backdrop of Mt. Kilimanjaro, spectacular displays of wildlife animals such as lion, elephant, leopard, rhino, cheetah, buffalo, and various plains plateaus game can be seen. Postcard-perfect pictures are almost always guaranteed. Finally, you will return to your hotel.

Early morning wakesup with your breakfast ready. Today you will have your packed lunch for a full day game drive in search of its popular residents like the well-known predators and their opponents including zebra, wildebeest and giraffe. Amboseli National Park is one of the best-known wildlife destinations in Kenya, primarily for excellent sightings of elephant in the big marshy area and the magnificent view of Mount Kilimanjaro (Observation Hill offers the best vistas). Chase the perfect sight of a massive gathering of big-tusked elephants set against the backdrop of Mt Kilimanjaro.

After breakfast you will drive out of the park with the view of Mt Kilimanjaro, then drive to the border of Tanzania and Kenya at Namanga border, After immigration clearance, you will be transferred to Tarangire National Park, one of the lesser-known game reserves in Tanzania, which rivals the Serengeti in its great number and diversity of wildlife. It is a good choice for travelers who wish to encounter more animals and less tourists while on safari. The Tarangire National Park is known as a wonderful birding destination and also features large numbers of animals, particularly during the dry season, when the Tarangire River is the only source of water in the area. The landscape is of particular interest too, due to the high number of scenic baobab trees.

After breakfast, we will be transferred to the famous Serengeti National Park. This park is to Tanzania, what the Masai Mara National Reserve is to Kenya. You will have game drive in the famous Serengeti National Park, considered to be Tanzania’s best park with large herds of buffalo, smaller groups of elephant and giraffe, and many antelope, such as eland, topi, kongoni and impala resident at any time of the year. All three big cats are easily seen. Lion are often found on a kill, cheetah is very common on the southeastern plains, while leopard can typically be found lazing in one of the big trees along the Seronera River. More than 350 species of birds, including ostriches, vultures, and flamingos in a lesser number and not easy to spot, have also been recorded.

Today you will enjoy a full day game drive in the Serengeti National Park, covering 14,763 sq km, dominated by vast, open plains with an abundance of wildlife. A picnic lunch will be provided en route, and the afternoon will be spent viewing game and absorbing the breathtaking scenery of the almost treeless plains of the Serengeti.

We will transfer to the Ngorongoro Crater, via Olduvai Gorge. Ngorongoro is an impressive 20 km wide volcanic crater with 600 m walls. The views from the crater rim are breathtaking, and there is an ever-present abundance of wildlife, due to the permanent water supply on the crater floor. Olduvai Gorge is famed for the discovery of 3.5-million-year-old fossil fragments of an early human civilization. We will enjoy lunch overlooking the crater, and the afternoon will be spent at leisure.

In the morning, depending on your departure time, check out of the hotel for Arusha/Kilimanjaro Airport. After boarding your flight, you will arrive in Zanzibar Airport. At the airport, you will be picked by our hotel driver to your hotel, which will be your residence for the next three days, when you can relax and enjoy this beautiful island.
