Day by Day Overview
On arrival at the Jomo Kenyatta International Airport, you will be met by our customer care representative who will transfer you to the Tamarind Tree Hotel for check in and overnight stay.
Situated 160 km south of the equator, Nairobi is the capital of Kenya and boasts one of the finest climates in the world. This modern, cosmopolitan city is the regional headquarters for many African and Indian Ocean businesses. With delegates attracted here from around the world, they come for the friendliness of the people, the modern hotel facilities and the vast array of fascinating options available throughout the city. Although the ‘City in the sun’ is relatively young by global standards, it has fascinating history capturing explorers, missionaries, wars, cultural diversity and politics etc, each leaving their mark on the city center in some way.

Start your exploration of this beautiful country as you visit Daphne Sheldrick Elephant Orphanage situated on the outskirts of Nairobi. The Sanctuary is run by Daphne Sheldrick and is set in the grounds of her house. Here you will see the orphaned animals and meet the people who handle and care for these animals. It’s an interesting excursion and the team who run the orphanage are always willing to spend time answering any questions guests may have to ask.
Later you will proceed to the Tamambo restaurant for lunch, then visit a nature center run by the African Fund for Endangered Wildlife. An elevated observation walkway allows you to get face to face with 18-foot-tall Rothschild’s giraffes. Lunch will be at Karen Blixen Coffee Gardens then later return to your hotel for an overnight stay.

After breakfast drive to Lake Nakuru which is the most famous of the Great Rift Valley lakes and home to a shifting population of over one million flamingos. Arrive in time for lunch at the Lake Nakuru Sopa Lodge, which enjoys sweeping views across the lake. This Lodge impresses every guest with its panoramic view of the pink shoreline created by millions of flamingos on Lake Nakuru. The Lodge is situated within the Lake Nakuru National Park Rift Valley Province and is surrounded by natural flora and fauna in its beautiful grounds.
Spend the afternoon on safari in Kenya’s first and largest rhino sanctuary where sightings of both black and white rhino are almost guaranteed and where you have a higher than average chance of spotting a leopard. Other wildlife includes; lion, hippo, the rare Rothschild’s giraffe, Colobus monkey, numerous plains game and 450 species of birds.

After your breakfast, you will depart for the Masai Mara National Game Reserve where you will arrive in time for check in and lunch at the Loyk Luxury Mara Camp. You will then spend the afternoon at leisure until around 1600hr
Loyk Luxury Mara Camp is located in Olare Orok conservancy on the bank of river Ntiakitiak that is natural border between Masai lands and national park. Being a tented camp, each room is made from traditional Safari tent installed on a decking (wooden platform in 50cm from the surface). Tents are made of waterproof fabric with natural ventilation, protecting campers from the sun, wind and insects.

Today, you will spend the whole day at the Masai Mara National Park with picnic lunch in the wild! In between, you will, at an extra cost, visit a local Masai village where you will be able to interact and learn about the colorful culture of thin nomadic pastoralist community.
The Masai Mara National Reserve is in the south western part of Kenya and forms part of the greater eco-system that encompasses the Serengeti National Park in Tanzania. The Masai Mara is one of the best known and most visited reserves in Africa. The park is surrounded by concession areas and tribal lands of the Masai tribes people. These are unfenced from the Mara and act as a buffer zone for the National Park and form part of the migration area. The Masai Mara consists of open savannah, rolling grasslands and undulating hills. July to September sees the annual migration of wildebeest, zebra and gazelle coming from the plains of the Serengeti. Driven by dry conditions in the Serengeti and led by the lightning and thunder to the north, huge herds of mammals cross the Tanzanian border and rivers to reach the Mara’s grasslands

0700hrs. After your breakfast, with a brief morning game drive enroute, you will depart for Isebania, the western Kenya/Tanzania border town, where after the cross-border immigration formalities, you will be handed to your Tanzanian guides with whom you will depart for the Serengeti National Park, with picnic lunches enroute. You arrive the Serengeti National Park with a brief evening game drive enroute to the Northern or Central Serengeti for check in at the Matawi Serengeti Camp/Acacia Migration Camp.

Depending on the time of the year, you will either be in the Northern, central or southern part of the Serengeti National Park. After your breakfast, collect lunch boxes and proceed for a full day of game viewing in the Serengeti. You will have a picnic lunch in the course of the day and later return to your camp.
Serengeti is the stage on which the most spectacular wonders of nature takes place, the Great Migration. It is on this park that millions of ungulates comprising of wildebeests and zebras make that all important trek from the Serengeti to the Masai Mara National Park in Kenya. But thats not all the Serengeti has to offer, it boasts the largest and highest concentration of wildlife in the world. Spanning an impressive 15,000 sq km area, this savannah is home to all the members of the Big 5, the splendid cheetah, gazelles, african wild dog, giraffes and approximately 500 species of bird, making it a bird watchers paradise as well.

After your breakfast, you will depart for the Ngorongoro National Conservation Area to arrive in time for a picnic lunch at the floor of the Ngorongoro Crater. Thereafter, you will have an afternoon game drive the Ngorongoro Crater.
This area’s main attraction is the Ngorongoro Crater, fondly known as “Africa’s Garden of Eden”. A candidate for the new Seven Wonders of the World, this massive crater holds its own in that category. Being the world’s largest unbroken caldera, Ngorongoro is home to over 25,000 animals. It is considered one of the best game viewing spots in the world with a chance to see the big five, zebras and wildebeests. The crater holds almost every individual species of wildlife in East Africa including the extremely rare and critically endangered Black Rhino.
Later in the evening you will proceed with drive to Karatu for check in and overnight at the Ngorongoro Farm House.

After your breakfast, you will depart for Arusha to arrive in time for lunch at the Arusha Coffee Lodge before transferring to the Arusha Airport in time for your afternoon Tanzania Airlines flight to Zanzibar. On arrival at the Zanzibar Airport, you will be met by another of our representative who will transfer you to the Zanzibar Queen Hotel for check in and overnight stay.

Zanzibar Island, whose local name is Unguja, is one of two main islands that make up the semi-autonomous state of Zanzibar. It is a partner state in the United Republic of Tanzania, the largest country in the east coast of Africa. It’s located in the Indian Ocean, about 35 km off the coast of mainland Tanzania, at Longitude 39 degrees east and latitude 6 degrees south of the equator. The highest point of the island is 150 meters above sea level. The Island’s capital, also known as Zanzibar, is one of the oldest cities in Africa and boasts of a World Heritage Site in its collection of some of Africa’s most valuable ancient architecture. It was established and for centuries ruled by Omani Sultans who reigned supreme in the east coast of Africa before the Portuguese and later the British came calling.
