Day by Day Overview

This Magical Kenya Safari starts with a pick-up from the hotel to our office for orientation at 7 am. You will depart for the Masai Mara Game Reserve via the view-point of the Great Rift Valley and Narok Town for lunch. Upon arrival you will proceed for a game drive, tracking various animal species and birds with your driver/guide. Dinner and overnight will be at the camp with bed, bedding, electricity, hot-showers, and mosquito nets.

After breakfast you will proceed on a full day of game viewing within the reserve. The landscape here is scenic savannah grassland on rolling hills. The reserve is the best park for game in Kenya as it has an extensive road and track network which allows for close range viewing and photography. Break for your picnic lunch at the hippo pool, looking out for hippos and crocodiles. Dinner and overnight at the camp.

After breakfast,  visit the Masai Village and later depart the Mara region for Nakuru, lunch enroute, with scenic views of Mt. Longmont and Lake Naivasha from afar on the main highway. You will arrive in the evening and be dropped off at the hotel for dinner and overnight the budget hotel with self contained rooms.

After breakfast you will proceed on a game drive in Lake Nakuru National Park, known for its prolific bird life including flamingos. The park contains a sanctuary for the conservation of the white rhino while species like Cape buffalo and water buck can be seen near the shoreline. Drive to Amboseli National Park arriving late evening with game viewing en route to camp. Dinner and overnight at camp.

This will be a day of game drives in this beautiful park with its swamp grounds in which elephants and hippos bathe in abundance. A variety of plains game, antelopes, birds and Mt. Kilimanjaro’s peak can be seen if weather conditions permit. Have a picnic lunch and return to the camp for dinner and overnight.

Early morning game viewing before returning to the camp for a full breakfast. Later you will check out and proceed to the Namanga border. After immigration you are now in Tanzania and will catch the shuttle bus to Arusha. You will be met and transferred to Ambassador Hotel on a bed and breakfast basis (dinner for your own account).

After breakfast you will depart for Tarangire National Park arriving in time for lunch and an afternoon of game viewing. Lesser kudu, eland, lion and gerenuk can be found in this beautiful park, noted for its multitude of baobab trees and its tree-climbing lions. Dinner and overnight at the camp.

After breakfast, drive to Ngorongoro Conservation Area. This afternoon, you will descend 2000 feet (over 600 meters) to the floor of the crater for a day crater tour with picnic lunches. Explore the forest areas that are inhabited by monkeys and elephants, the lake area, where you may see the flamingos and the open savannah where lions hunt for food. Dinner and overnight at the camp.

Drive to Serengeti National Park via Olduvai Gorge, the site of Louis and Mary Leakey’s renowned archaeological discoveries. Visit this museum at an extra cost and see the findings including some of man’s earliest known ancestral remains. Lunch will be at Seronera camp. You will have an afternoon game drive in the endless plains of the Serengeti for a chance to see the great herds of wildebeest, zebras and gazelles or a pride of lions lounging in the shade. Dinner and overnight at camp.

Enjoy an early morning game drive before breakfast. Return to the camp for late breakfast mid morning and then depart to Lake Manyara with lunch en route. Upon arrival have an evening game drive until sunset. Dinner and overnight at camp.

After breakfast, you will have a morning game drive in Lake Manyara National Park whose inhabitants include hippos, monkeys, tree climbing lions, flamingos, and other varieties of bird-life. Lunch at the camp and afterwards drive back to Arusha. Drop of at Arusha hotel with bed and breakfast.

After breakfast at your hotel, our partner will be ready to take you to the airport to connect your flight to Zanzibar or take a shuttle bus back to Nairobi.
