Day of Adventure: Journey to Tarangire National Park

In the morning, your personal safari guide will pick you up from your accommodations in Arusha. We’ll embark on a scenic drive to Tarangire National Park along well-maintained tarmac roads that meander through the gently rolling Maasai plains dotted with acacia trees. As we travel, enjoy the vibrant sights of the Maasai people in their colorful attire, walking along the roadside, riding bicycles, herding cattle, and driving donkey carts.

Arriving at Tarangire National Park, famous for its impressive elephant herds, we’ll explore a diverse array of wildlife. From the open roof of our state-of-the-art safari jeep, we’ll traverse the seasonal swamps, expansive savanna, and the life-giving Tarangire River. Keep your eyes peeled for a variety of animals, including zebras, wildebeests, buffalo, elephants, and giraffes. Continued Safari Adventure: Lake Manyara National Park

After a delicious breakfast, we’ll set off on the next leg of our epic safari to Lake Manyara National Park. Located just 120 km west of Arusha, this relatively small yet diverse park is named after the shallow salt lake that covers about seventy percent of its surface area. The soda lake is a seasonal wonder, home to thousands of flamingos and over 500 other bird species that call this unique habitat home.

As we explore the park, keep your eyes peeled for a variety of wildlife, including playful monkeys, elegant giraffes, zebras, wildebeests, buffalo, and elephants. With a bit of luck, we may even spot lions lounging in the trees, a sight that Lake Manyara is famous for.

The park’s landscapes are strikingly diverse, featuring not only open grassy plains but also woodlands teeming with primates and cliffs adorned with iconic baobab trees. After another memorable game drive, we’ll return with our hearts full and cameras brimming with unforgettable images of the African wilderness that will last a lifetime.

Journey to the Serengeti: A Scenic Drive through the Highlands

After enjoying a hearty breakfast, we’ll set off toward the fertile highlands, where the Iraqw people cultivate wheat and corn. Our route takes us through the mist-shrouded rainforests of the Ngorongoro Conservation Area, where you may be fortunate enough to spot baboons, leopards, and elephants amidst the dense undergrowth.

As we continue our journey, you’ll be treated to breathtaking views of the iconic Ngorongoro Crater before we head onward to the Serengeti National Park, arriving by midday. Renowned as the largest park in Tanzania, the Serengeti boasts an incredible diversity of landscapes and habitats, including vast grassy plains, serene swamps, shimmering lakes, expansive savannah, and towering mountains.

After an extensive game drive through this magnificent ecosystem, we’ll make our way to your accommodation for the evening. Enjoy a delicious dinner and settle in for a restful overnight stay, reflecting on the day’s extraordinary wildlife experiences.

Prepare for an exhilarating day dedicated entirely to game drives in the iconic Serengeti! This vast wilderness is home to an incredible array of wildlife, including impala, buffalo, crocodiles, and hippos. However, it is perhaps best known for the great migration of zebra, antelope, and wildebeest, a spectacular journey that follows the rhythm of the rains and varies each year.

In November and December, the animals migrate from the northern woodlands and hills to the lush grassy plains of the south. During the long rainy season from April to June, they make their way back north. Alongside the migrating herds, we’ll also have the chance to spot resident predators such as leopards, cheetahs, and lions, all playing their crucial roles in the circle of life.

After a day filled with unforgettable wildlife encounters and breathtaking landscapes, we’ll return to Kubu Kubu Luxury Tented Lodge for a well-deserved evening of relaxation. Enjoy a delightful dinner and fall asleep to the sounds of the wild on The Endless Plain, reflecting on the day’s extraordinary adventures.

Journey to Ngorongoro Crater: En-Route Game Drive

After a hearty breakfast, you’ll set out for an en-route game drive through the breathtaking Serengeti. Keep your eyes peeled for the legendary “Big Five”—lion, elephant, buffalo, rhino, and leopard—as we make our way to the remarkable Ngorongoro Crater.

This UNESCO World Heritage site, formed millions of years ago, is an impressive 600 meters deep and spans approximately 260 square kilometers. Home to around 25,000 animals, the Crater is renowned for offering the best game viewing in all of Tanzania. You’ll arrive at the Crater rim just in time for lunch, and then descend into this stunning natural amphitheater.

Once inside, you’ll be greeted by an abundance of wildlife, including wildebeest, zebras, gazelles, and elephants, as well as over 500 bird species that call the area home. With a bit of luck, you might even spot the elusive endangered black rhino hidden among the grass.

After a delightful lunch and a full afternoon exploring the Crater, we’ll head to your accommodation for a relaxing dinner and a restful overnight stay.

Departure to Zanzibar: A Relaxing First Night in Stone Town

After breakfast, you’ll be picked up from your accommodation and driven directly to the airport for your flight to the enchanting island of Zanzibar. Upon arrival, you’ll spend your first night in the historic Stone Town, where you can unwind and enjoy stunning views of the old city.

For those seeking a bit more adventure, additional activities can be arranged during your stay. Consider embarking on a guided tour of Stone Town’s captivating Old Town, a flavorful Spice Tour, or a visit to the fascinating Prison Island. You can also organize a tour to the lush Jozani Forest, home to unique wildlife and pristine nature.
