Day by Day Overview
Your adventure begins with an early morning pick-up from Nairobi, followed by a scenic drive north towards Samburu National Reserve. En route, cross the equator into Kenya’s northern frontier, arriving at your lodge in time for lunch. In the afternoon, set out on your first game drive, searching for the unique wildlife species of Samburu, including the Grevy’s zebra, reticulated giraffe, Somali ostrich, and Beisa oryx. Return to the lodge for dinner and an overnight stay.
Spend the day exploring Samburu’s rugged landscapes on morning and afternoon game drives. The Ewaso Nyiro River, the reserve’s lifeline, attracts a variety of wildlife, including elephants, lions, leopards, and crocodiles. Bird enthusiasts can spot over 400 species, making it a paradise for birdwatchers. Between game drives, relax at your lodge and take in the stunning scenery.
After breakfast, depart for Ol Pejeta Conservancy, a world-renowned wildlife sanctuary dedicated to conservation. Arrive in time for lunch, then visit the Sweetwaters Chimpanzee Sanctuary, the only place in Kenya where you can see rescued chimpanzees. Enjoy an afternoon game drive, with a chance to see the Big Five and a thriving rhino population, including the last two northern white rhinos.
Spend the day exploring Ol Pejeta on morning and afternoon game drives. This conservancy is known for its strong conservation efforts, particularly in protecting rhinos and other endangered species. You may also opt for a walking safari or a night game drive for a different wildlife perspective.
After breakfast, depart for Lake Nakuru National Park, arriving in time for lunch. In the afternoon, embark on a game drive around the lake, famous for its flamingos and pelicans. The park is also home to black and white rhinos, Rothschild giraffes, buffalos, and leopards.
Enjoy an early breakfast before departing for Maasai Mara, Kenya’s most famous wildlife reserve. Arrive in time for lunch, then head out for an afternoon game drive, where you’ll encounter large prides of lions, cheetahs, elephants, and more roaming the vast savannah.
Spend a full day exploring the Maasai Mara on thrilling game drives. The Mara is home to the Big Five, abundant plains game, and an incredible number of predators. During the Great Migration (July to October), witness thousands of wildebeest and zebras crossing the Mara River. You may also opt for an optional hot air balloon safari at sunrise for a breathtaking aerial view.
After breakfast, depart for the scenic Lake Naivasha, arriving in time for lunch. In the afternoon, enjoy a boat ride on Lake Naivasha, where you can spot hippos and diverse bird species. You may also visit Crescent Island, a sanctuary where you can walk among zebras, giraffes, and antelopes.
After an early breakfast, drive south to Amboseli National Park, arriving in time for lunch. The park is famous for its large elephant herds and stunning views of Mount Kilimanjaro. In the afternoon, embark on a game drive, with opportunities to see lions, cheetahs, buffalos, giraffes, and over 400 bird species.
Spend a full day in Amboseli, enjoying morning and afternoon game drives. Capture breathtaking views of elephants walking against the backdrop of Kilimanjaro, one of Africa’s most iconic sights. Visit Observation Hill for a panoramic view of the park and its diverse landscapes, including swamps where hippos and water birds thrive.
