After breakfast depart for Maasai Mara National Reserve. You will drive past the scenic Great Rift Valley escarpment, the Suswa plains before arriving at the Mara. Make it in time for lunch at your camp. You will enjoy your first game drive in the evening.

After breakfast, depart for a full day of game drives in the Maasai Mara National Reserve. You will be on a mission to find the Big Five as you interact with the entire flora and fauna that make this ecosystem complete. You will be back to your camp in the afternoon. Enjoy the rest of the afternoon relaxing.

After breakfast depart for Lake Nakuru National Park arriving in the afternoon, check in at Flamingo Hill Tented Camp and later and proceed for an afternoon game drive/photography in the park. The waters here are often colored shimmering flamingo pink from thousands of the beautiful birds lining its shores. Later drive to the lodge for dinner and overnight.

Full day spent doing photography in the park, well known haven for endangered species – particularly the Rothschild giraffe and the black and white rhino. Lions, waterbuck, buffalo and baboons are all residents here and  over 400 species of birds found here.

Depart after breakfast, arrival in Samburu will be by lunchtime. After lunch embark on an exciting game drive to sight the rare and famous ‘Samburu Special Five’ (reticulated giraffe, gerenuk, Grevy’s zebra, blue-necked Somali ostrich and beisa oryx) among other wildlife species. Dinner and overnight will be at the spectacular Samburu Sopa Lodge.

You will spend a full day in Samburu with morning and afternoon game drives. The highlights of Samburu National Reserve are the spectacular scenic beauty, rivers and forests. It is an area where the local Samburu people have a rich and colourful heritage. The reserves have numerous permanent springs and a wealth of wildlife which include leopards, hippos, elephants, lions, reticulated giraffes, Grevy’s zebra and crocodiles in the Ewaso Nyiro River. Over 365 species of birds have also been identified in the sanctuaries.

After breakfast depart for Ol Pejeta Conservancy located between the foothills of Mt. Kenya and Aberdares in Laikipia County. Engage in a variety of activities ranging from lion tracking excursions to chimpanzee spotting at the Sweetwaters Chimpanzee Sanctuary. The private ranch at Sweetwater is the only sanctuary for rehabilitation in Kenya for these widely abused chimpanzees with two groups living in an environment as close to their natural habitat as possible. Breakfast at leisure then depart for Nairobi. You will arrive in Nairobi in the afternoon, dropped off at the airport for your flight back home or in case your flight departs late hours take an optional refresher package at Crown Plaza Nairobi Airport Hotel at a cost of $75. The hotel’s rooftop offers a beautiful view of the city’s green surroundings. Enjoy a drink the bar (not included) or take a rest at the swimming pool as you await your flight schedule back home. Later you will be transfered to the airport terminal for your flight as per schedule.
