Day Overview

Nairobi National Park is located just a short distance from the capital city, Nairobi. This proximity makes it one of the few national parks in the world located within a city’s limits, offering the convenience of experiencing wildlife without travelling far. The park offers a one of a kind safari experience and is an ideal choice to those seeking a quick escape into nature, educational opportunities and a chance to support urban wildlife conservation initiatives.

In addition, visit the Sheldrick Wildlife Trust which is famously known for the protection and rescuing of orphan elephants and rhinos. After the visit, which lasts for one hour, make a quick stop for lunch before heading to the Karen Blixen Museum which was once the center piece of a farm at the foot of the Ngong Hills, owned by Danish Author Karen and her Swedish husband, Baron Bror von Blixen Fincke. The farm house gained international fame with the release of the movie ‘Out of Africa’ an Oscar-winning film based on Karen’s autobiography of the same title. Immediately afterwards, proceed to  the Giraffe Center to see and feed the famous Rothschild giraffe and her family. This center, which protects the highly endangered Rothschild’s giraffe, combines serious conservation with enjoyable activities. You can observe, hand-feed or even kiss one of the giraffes from a raised wooden structure, which is quite an experience. You may also spot warthogs snuffling about in the mud. Later on drop off at your respective locations.
