On the journey to Jinja, in Mukono District, lies Ssezibwa Falls – a breathtaking waterfall formed by the Ssezibwa River. Steeped in legend and cultural heritage, the falls are surrounded by lush vegetation and ancient rock formations. Regarded as a sacred site by the Baganda people, Ssezibwa offers visitors a peaceful escape for birdwatching, hiking, and cultural exploration.
Also en route to Jinja is Mabira Forest, one of Uganda’s largest and most ecologically significant rainforests.
