Day by Day Overview
Your journey begins early in the morning with a scenic domestic flight from Zanzibar to Serengeti National Park. Upon arrival at a bush airstrip in the heart of the park, you will be warmly welcomed by African Flowers Adventure professional safari guide. Without delay, your adventure starts with a game drive across the vast Serengeti plains. This world-famous park is known for its incredible wildlife, including lions, elephants, giraffes, and cheetahs, as well as the Great Migration (seasonal).
You will enjoy a picnic lunch in the bush and continue with an afternoon game drive until sunset. Dinner and overnight will be at a safari lodge or tented camp inside the park, surrounded by the sounds of the African wilderness.
After an early breakfast at your camp in Serengeti National Park, you will set out for a morning game drive, taking advantage of the cooler hours when wildlife is most active. This is often the best time to spot predators such as lions, leopards, and cheetahs before they retreat from the midday heat.
Following the game drive, you will begin your journey out of the Serengeti, enjoying en-route wildlife viewing as you travel toward the Ngorongoro Conservation Area. The drive itself is part of the experience, offering changing landscapes—from the endless plains of the Serengeti to the greener, elevated highlands of Ngorongoro. You will pause for a picnic lunch along the way, surrounded by the natural beauty of northern Tanzania. As you approach the conservation area, the scenery becomes more dramatic, with rolling hills and forested slopes.
By late afternoon, you will arrive at the rim of the Ngorongoro Crater, where you can enjoy breathtaking panoramic views into the world’s largest intact volcanic caldera. The rest of the evening is at leisure, allowing you to relax and prepare for the next day’s crater safari. Dinner and overnight will be at a lodge on or near the crater rim, offering a peaceful atmosphere and stunning views over this iconic landscape.
After an early breakfast, you will descend into the Ngorongoro Crater for a half-day game drive. The crater is home to an extraordinary concentration of wildlife, including the Big Five, and offers one of the best chances to spot the rare black rhino. After your safari, you will ascend from the crater and drive to Arusha for your onward flight back to Zanzibar.
This marks the end of your unforgettable 3-day safari adventure.
