Upon your arrival at Mwalimu Nyerere International Airport, you will be warmly welcomed by our representative, who will assist you with your transfer to the hotel. After an early breakfast, you’ll embark on a guided tour of Dar es Salaam, exploring the vibrant heart of Tanzania’s business hub. Visit popular landmarks like Mlimani City Mall and enjoy some leisure time at the beautiful coastal beaches that line the city. Immerse yourself in the local culture with a visit to the bustling Kariakoo Market and the historical National Museum. After a hearty breakfast at 8:00 am, you’ll be picked up from your hotel and begin your scenic drive to Nyerere National Park. Along the way, enjoy a delightful picnic lunch before continuing your journey to one of Tanzania’s most pristine and untouched wilderness areas. In the late afternoon, you’ll embark on an exhilarating boat safari along the majestic Rufiji River. As you glide through the water, you’ll have the chance to observe hippos and crocodiles in their natural environment. Crocodiles will silently slip into the river as your boat nears, while hippos will emerge, grunting and releasing steam in close proximity, creating an awe-inspiring and thrilling experience.

After a hearty breakfast at the camp, you’ll embark on a refreshing morning bush walk, followed by an exciting safari through Nyerere National Park. As you explore the park, you’ll have the opportunity to spot wildlife along the Great Rufiji River and throughout the diverse landscapes of the park. Nyerere is renowned for its large population of elephants and buffaloes, as well as its thriving pack of wild dogs. You may also encounter other iconic species such as lions, bushbucks, impalas, giraffes, elands, baboons, zebras, kudus, and even crocodiles, making for an unforgettable wildlife experience.

You will be picked up from your hotel and begin your journey to Mikumi National Park for an exciting game drive, including a scenic drive along the Mkata River. Established in 1964, Mikumi is Tanzania’s fourth-largest national park, covering an impressive 3,230 square kilometers. The Mkata River floodplain, a highlight of the park, offers excellent opportunities to spot a wide range of wildlife, including elephants, buffaloes, zebras, giraffes, wild dogs, and impalas, as well as a diverse array of bird species. Located 283 kilometers from Dar es Salaam via the Morogoro route, the park is a popular destination for weekend visitors and business travelers with limited time for a safari. The drive typically takes 4 to 5 hours, making Mikumi a convenient and rewarding escape into nature.

Your safari will take you across the iconic Ruaha River, where you’ll have the chance to observe hippos, crocodiles, and elephants. You may also spot predators hunting, along with a wide variety of water birds and other wildlife. After an exciting day of exploration, you’ll head to Ruaha River Lodge for a relaxing overnight stay.

Enjoy another thrilling safari day at Ruaha NP, as you explore the diverse landscapes along the Great Ruaha River and throughout the park. As Tanzania’s second-largest national park, covering an expansive 20,226 square kilometers, Ruaha is home to a vast array of wildlife. The park’s lifeblood is the Great River, which stretches for 475 kilometers and attracts large numbers of animals, especially during the dry season. The river is teeming with life, including hippos, crocodiles, and over 400 species of birds, such as the Racket-tailed Roller, Pale-billed Hornbill, Shelley’s Sunbird, and Hoopoes.
Ruaha is also renowned for its thriving population of elephants and its iconic pride of lions. Other notable species found here include giraffes, Grant’s gazelles, leopards, cheetahs, zebras, and buffaloes.
