Day by Day Overview

Your adventure begins with an early morning pick-up from Nairobi, where your guide will provide a briefing before you set off on a scenic drive through the Great Rift Valley. Along the way, you’ll have plenty of opportunities to capture the beauty of the landscape, with stunning views of landmarks like the Suswa Ranges and Mount Longonot.

After a stop for lunch in Narok, nestled in the heart of the valley, you’ll continue your journey to your accommodation within the Masai Mara Game Reserve. Once you’ve settled in, the excitement begins with your first game drive through the wilds of the Mara. As the day ends, enjoy a delicious dinner before resting up for another exciting day ahead.

Your first night on safari includes:

  • Lunch and dinner (breakfast not included)

Start your day with a hearty breakfast at your lodge or camp before embarking on a full-day game drive across the vast grasslands and rolling hills of the Masai Mara Game Reserve. Home to over three million animals, this stunning reserve offers endless opportunities to witness Africa’s iconic wildlife in their natural habitat. Encounter many majestic animals that define the wild plains of Africa including:

  • Wildebeest
  • Leopards
  • Buffalo
  • Giraffes

 

For lunch, enjoy a picnic along the Mara River, where you can relax and take in the breath-taking views. If your safari coincides with the right season, you may even witness the Great Migration as the Serengeti’s wildebeest make their dramatic journey.

You also have the option to visit a Masai Mara village, where you’ll learn about the fascinating culture of the Masai people. Known for their bravery in the wild, the Masai warriors will welcome you with traditional singing and dancing, offering insight into their unique way of life. You’ll have the opportunity to visit their homes and gain a deeper understanding of their traditions. (An additional fee of US$20 per person applies for this experience.)

Your second night in the Mara includes:

After a delicious breakfast at your lodge, set off for your departure to Nakuru taking in the final sights of the Masai Mara. Along the way, enjoy a scenic drive through the diverse landscapes of Kenya, with plenty of opportunities to stop for photos of the stunning vistas. A picnic lunch will be served en route, allowing you to take in the beauty of the land as you travel. The drive itself is an unforgettable experience, offering views of Kenya’s countryside at every turn.

You’ll arrive at Lake Nakuru in the early evening, where dinner awaits. As you settle in for the night, prepare for the exciting wildlife encounters the next day, including the park’s mega-fauna and incredible birdlife.

On your third day of safari, you’ll enjoy:

  • Comfortable accommodation at your lodge or camp
  • Overnight stay inside Lake Nakuru National Park
  • Breakfast, lunch, and dinner (drinks other than water are extra)

Start the morning with a game drive through the beautiful Lake Nakuru National Park. The lake’s shores are often filled with vibrant flocks of flamingos, creating a stunning pink hue as they feast on the algae-rich waters. Keep your eyes peeled for a variety of other exotic birds that call this park home. Lake Nakuru is also teeming with wildlife. With a bit of luck, you may catch a glimpse of the rare Rothschild giraffe, black and white rhinos, waterbucks, impalas, and buffaloes. Your expert guide will be with you every step of the way, offering insight into the behavior and habits of the animals you encounter.

A delicious lunch will be served by the lake before you begin your journey back to Nairobi. Depending on your plans, you can be dropped off at your hotel, residence, or directly at the airport.

On your final day of safari, you’ll enjoy:
