Founded in 2021 by passionate conservationists and wildlife experts, Gisu Safaris began with a simple mission: to share the incredible beauty and diversity of East Africa with the world while supporting local communities and conservation efforts. What started as a small family business has grown into East Africa’s premier safari company. Our name “Gisu” comes from the local Bagisu people of Uganda, reflecting our deep roots and commitment to authentic cultural experiences. Today, we operate across four countries – Uganda, Kenya, Tanzania, and Rwanda – offering everything from intimate gorilla encounters to epic Great Migration safaris. Every journey we craft is designed to create lasting memories while contributing to wildlife conservation and community development.
