Day by Day Overview
Depart from Arusha in the morning and travel to the Tarangire National Park where you can marvel at the colossal termite mounds and the ancient baobab trees. The picturesque scenery and diverse bird life that assist in creating a tranquil environment in the park. There is a huge elephant population and seeing the large herds is an amazing sight. Enjoy much of the day on a game drive before heading to your campsite for the evening.
After breakfast you will make your way to the Serengeti National Park. Enjoy a scenic journey that passes the Ngorongoro Conservation Area. Explore the famous park when you arrive and search for wildlife on its vast grassland plains. The park is one of the Seven Natural Wonders of Africa. Later stop for a picnic lunch on one of the small rocky hills, providing excellent views of the park below. In the evening you will head to your campsite for dinner.
Begin the day with an early morning drive in the central Serengeti as your search for animals surrounded by the sounds of the waking bush. Experience a beautiful sunrise and hope to discover some of the big cats on a morning hunt. Later you will travel to the Ngorongoro Crater where you will spend the evening.
After an early breakfast, descend into the Ngorongoro Crater for the best time to spot animals before the heat of the day. Enjoy a game drive around the crater and stop for a picnic lunch at a small lake in the park. The lake is home to many hippos and migratory birds amongst many other wildlife species including the big five. Explore this amazing destination, teeming with animals that are encircled by the carter walls. After a lovely afternoon of game viewing you will make your way to Arusha.
Today you will visit a Maasai tribe, famous for their lion hunting tradition. Spend a full day with the tribe and take part in their daily routine, including fetching water and milking cows, for an opportunity to see how they live. You will sleep in the village in one of their traditional houses. Enjoy a traditional dinner before the end of the day.
After lunch you will have a short drive to Chamka Hot Springs were you can enjoy an afternoon of swimming in the springs. In the evening you will make your way back to Arusha where you will have some dinner.
After breakfast you will have an opportunity to donate your time to one of two causes. Decide between a visit to a local school or helping prepare lunch for some of the local children. Spend the day with these wonderful children before heading to the airport in the evening.
