Day by Day Overview

Upon your arrival at Kilimanjaro Airport, your Lifetime Safari driver-guide will be waiting for you with a warm welcoming smile, ready to take you to your hotel in Arusha.

  • Distance: 55 km / Approx. 1 hr on tarmac road
  • Accommodation Midrange: Arusha Planet Lodge – bed and breakfast

After breakfast, your safari driver guide will pick you from your lodge and drive you in your private 4×4 safari vehicle to Tarangire National Park. The park is most famous for its elephant migration, birding and quiet authentic safari atmosphere in a unique surrounding of baobab trees. We will enjoy a game drive exploring the park. Lunch will be taken in a picnic site overlooking the Tarangire River.  Proceed with game drive until end of the day you drive to your accommodation located inside the park for dinner and overnight.

After an early breakfast we drive direct to Serengeti National Park, through the beautiful high lying farmland of Karatu and the Ngorongoro Conservation Area. Leaving the highlands behind to to the heart of wild Africa – the Serengeti National Park – with its endless plains, rolling into the distance as far as the eye can see. We head to the central park area, known as the Seronera area, one of the richest wildlife habitats in the park, featuring the Seronera River, which provides a valuable water source to this area and therefore attracts wildlife well representative of most of the Serengeti’s species. We arrive in time for lunch and enjoy an afternoon game drive in Serengeti National Park. In the evening arrive to your accommodation for evening leisure time, dinner and overnight.

The morning in the Serengeti is an experience worth cherishing. You will wake up surrounded by enchanted sounds and smell of the wilderness staring at a magnificent breathtaking sunrise view at the endless plains of the Serengeti. After breakfast, depart for a full day game drive exploring Serengeti in search of the wildlife. The Serengeti eco-system is home to the “big five” (lion, African elephant, cape buffalo, leopard, rhinoceros). The other main species include zebra, wildebeest, various species of gazelles and antelopes, giraffes, cheetahs, hyenas, elephants, hippopotamus, crocodiles and some primate species such as vervet monkeys and olive baboons. It is also an endemic bird area, with a total of 505 species being documented so far. In the late afternoon, we drive back to your accommodation. After freshening up, cosy up around the campfire and enjoy sharing stories of the day’s wildlife sightings while waiting for dinner.

Enjoy a sunrise game drive, searching for big cats while hunting as they actively hunt during early morning. Then we proceed with en-route game drive from Serengeti to Ngorongoro enjoying the unwinding scenery along the way. On arrival, after some time relaxing in the lodge, depart for a late afternoon guided walk around Ngorongoro crater rim.  Enjoy an easy 90-minute wildlife walk around the lodge and crater rim with our resident naturalist. On this educational tour, you will see an array of bird species, wildlife and plants and flowers while enjoying spectacular views of the crater floor. Later return to  your lodge located inside Ngorongoro Conservation Area for leisure time, dinner and overnight.

  • Accommodation Midrange: Ngorongoro Rhino Lodge – Full Board

At sunrise we drive down to the crater floor for wildlife game viewing. With its abundant water, excellent grazing and natural protection from the densely vegetated crater walls, the crater provides shelter to over 25000 animals, including the endangered black rhinoceros. Lunch will be taken at a picnic site inside the crater.

In the afternoon we ascend the crater and drive back to Arusha airport for your evening flight to Zanzibar. Upon arrival our representative will meet you at Zanzibar Airport to welcome you and transfer you to the beach resort in Jambiani of relaxation. Following your safari it will be great to enjoy some days of beach holidays by the Indian Ocean. Zanzibar is a unique island that has managed to find a balance between being a hive of activity and calmness and relaxation. From the moment you get close to Zanzibar you will feel a relaxed atmosphere occupying your senses. The turquoise water of the sea and the powdery white sand beaches shaded by palm trees make this island look like a paradise. The official name of Zanzibar Island is Unguza.

You will have two full days at the beach to relax, unwind and enjoy optional activities and excursions as per your interests such as snorkeling, kite surfing, safari blue, spice tour, sunset cruise, Jozani forest visit and much more.

  • Accommodation Midrange: Karafuu Beach Resort and Spa (Cottage Room) – Half Board

After breakfast, our driver will pick you from your beach resort to transfer you to Zanzibar Airport for your flight back home. If time permits, enjoy a guided Stone Town tour around the historical sites of Stone Town on the way to the airport. During the guided tour, you will experience the town & the true culture of Zanzibar; visit the famous house of wonder, the sultan palace, the old museum and the old market where you can shop for varius fruits and spices. You will also see the cathedral church and the old dispensary. You may continue with a free walk in the alleyways of the old town, watching the everyday local life and beautiful handmade souvenirs in the small shops.
