Day by Day Overview
Upon arrival, your safari guide will drive you to the Maasai Mara Reserve and into the domain of the Maasai, Kenya’s local residents determined to preserve their traditions. The first stop-over on the journey will be at the Rift Valley view point for a short view of this spectacular landscape. Then you will proceed to Narok where you will have lunch before continuing on to the Maasai Mara National Reserve. The Maasai Mara is the magnificent home of Kenya’s richest concentration of wildlife and regarded by many visitors as an essential stop on any tour of East Africa. You will see golden grassland plains dotted with acacia, wildebeests, zebras, lions and jackals bound together by the cycle of life and death. Arriving in time for an evening game drive , enjoy the search for encounters with lion, leopard, cheetah and rhino among much other wildlife, until late evening.
Dinner and overnight: Miti Mingi Eco Camp
Today you have the option of starting the day with a balloon safari which can be arranged for an extra cost of USD 420 per person. Spend the day in Maasai Mara, Kenya’s most popular game reserve, where you will have the best opportunity of spotting the Big Five and a host of other incredible wildlife. Game drives will be done all day, leaving the camp with picnic lunch boxes to spend the entire day in the park. You will also have the option of visiting a local Maasai village at an extra cost of approximately USD 20 per person.
Dinner and overnight: Miti Mingi Eco Camp
Enjoy an early morning game drive in the Maasai Mara followed by breakfast at 09:30 am at the camp. Later, you will depart for Nairobi stopping sporadically for the breathtaking panoramic views of the Rift Valley and adjacent landforms. The tour ends in Nairobi late in the afternoon.
