The day begins with early morning breakfast, then head out on a morning game drive towards the Albert and Victoria Nile to experience a great deal of wildlife and bird species. Search for big cats, herds of elephants, buffalo, giraffe, antelope and various bird species such as shoebill, saddle billed stock, goliath heron, egrets and Abyssinian ground hornbill.
Return to the lodge for lunch and afterwards go on a boat cruise on the Victoria Nile to the bottom of the Falls. Elephants are frequently seen playing in the water often within few meters. From the main view point, a longer footpath perhaps 30 minutes, leads to a saddle offering a face on view of the Murchison Falls.
After breakfast, the safari will continue with a transfer to Kibale National Park. This park is highly alluring to nature lovers for its excellent chimpanzee trekking and bird watching. While in the forest expect to see at least 2-3 other types of primates most especially grey-cheeked mangabey and red tailed monkey. You will hear plenty of birdsong too. The guides are knowledgeable and will identify various medicinal plants, bird calls and animal spoor. Once you find the chimpanzees, you will be allowed an hour with them. You return to the lodge for lunch, thereafter you will head out to Queen Elizabeth National Park, arriving in the evening for dinner and the night.
After a healthy breakfast, go for early morning game drive though the park, looking out for members of the big five as well as other mammals such as giant forest hogs and antelopes. You will return to the lodge for lunch. In the afternoon go for a boat trip along the Kazinga Channel, a great trip with sightings which might include elephants, buffaloes, waterbucks, large hippo pods, giant forest hogs and more. Keep an open eye for the enormous monitor lizard which is common in the riverine scrub as well as crocodiles. Water birds are plentiful such as yellow billed stock, pelicans, fish eagles, crowned eagles. Back to the lodge for dinner and overnight.
