Day by Day Overview

Morning drive out of Arusha city and on to Tarangire National Park, home to zebras, buffalo, gazelle, eland and oryx. The park also has a high concentration of elephants. After a morning of game viewing enjoy a packed lunch followed by a another game drive in the afternoon. Dinner and overnight at a lodge or camping in the Ngorongoro Highlands.

After breakfast leave on a morning drive out of the Ngorongoro Highlands. Cross the Great Rift Valley to Lake Eyasi arriving in time for lunch. Afternoon at leisure or visit the local bushmen tribes of Hadzabe and the Datonga. Dinner and overnight at a lodge or camping.

Early morning depart with a local guide for a hunting trip with the bushmen tribe of the Hadzabe before returning for breakfast. Afterwards drive out of Lake Eyasi and on to the Ngorongoro Highlands. In the afternoon visit the local village or go mountain biking in the village. Meals and overnight at a lodge or camping.

After breakfast drive through the Ngorongoro Conservation Area and on to Serengeti National Park with game viewing en route followed by a picnic lunch. Late afternoon continue the drive to your lodge or campsite.

This day is spent exploring the vast Serengeti National Park with its endless plains and outstanding wildlife and birds. Every year more than a million wildebeest, zebras and Thomson gazelles gather to undertake the long trek in such of grazing land, known as the Great Annual Migration. The park is also rich in plains game and predators. An optional hot air balloon safari is available for an incredible bird’s eye view of the Serengeti Plains. Meals and overnight at a lodge or camping.

Drive out of the Serengeti National Park with game viewing en route to Ngorongoro Conservation Area. Descend into the Ngorongoro Crater for game viewing and look out for the ‘Big Five’, lion, leopard, buffalo, elephant and rhino. Enjoy a picnic lunch in this awe-inspiring caldera, a breathtaking natural wonder which is a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Late afternoon ascend the crater and head to your accommodation (lodge or camping) for dinner and overnight.

After a leisurely breakfast drive back to Arusha arriving by midday.
